The page's revision history is somehow screwed up. I tried deleting then undeleting it to see if that would fix the issue but now the same error appears when I try undeleting it. I made a task on Phabricator asking them to look into the issue so hopefully we'll get a fix for it soon.

Two things

Trying to get as much feedback from the others as possible.

One: User:Thermometer/Sandbox - New proposed NSFW and JOKE templates. Thoughs/suggestions?

Two: Splitting up the Classics category into two. 'Classics' and 'Hall of Fame'. Classics would be reserved for stories that were popular within the wider creepypasta and/or YouTube community, while Hall of Fame would be solely for stories that were popular within the trollpasta community and/or became inside jokes, such as Youtube 2, BOB.EXE, Charlie the Killer, Over the hedge 2, etc. etc.

I put several of their stories through https://copyleaks.com/ai-content-detector and they appear to be a mixed bag. Half are almost completely AI generated, the others are 'likely written by a human'. Still, that is some extreme usage of AI. Very much not acceptable. I drafted a Content Policy a few days ago that's meant to go into details as to why certain stuff isn't allowed. I uploaded it a few hours ago but haven't made it official/implemented it just yet. Restored only six of their stories, as they were the only ones not to use AI. Everything else was 40-60% AI-generated according to the different programs I'm using. The shorter ones, surprisingly enough, were the worst offenders, being 70-80% AI generated. Thermometer (talk) 03:34, 1 September 2023 (UTC)

For the majority of their stories, multiple AI detectors gave a 40 to 60 percent chance of being AI generated, for the ones that I restored they gave 'most likely written by a human'. After checking for myself, they did seem noticeably different from the AI generated ones, I've spoken to said user a few times as well and they do have this odd peculiar way of typing so that does check out. Some Info regarding most of my stories.

Hi there. I noticed you were telling me about most of my stories being deleted from The Wiki for being AI Generated. I am going to say that my more recent stories. were AI Generated. but some of my stories were in fact wrongly deleted. for example my "Slipknot Xbox 360 Game" TrollPasta was my first ever story. and I can't seem to find it on the Wiki. I am thinking it was wrongly deleted because you thought it was "AI Generated" which I wrote that story before AI Writing was even a thing. I feel like double checking stories before thinking they are AI Generated should be the better outcome to do. also checking the dates on the stories are a good thing to do as well. I also wrote and collabed with my good friend Zeronx Lighten on some of these stories. also, since you mentioned a pastebin link. is it ok if I check the stories that were AI Generated or not so in case if some of them weren't AI Generated. you guys could possibly restore them? if so. that will make me happy.

As I’ve gotten older I’ve come to see 2013 to really be the last period of online Wild West. It feels like starting that year it all became more corporate. I never saw the internet of the early 2000s or 1990s but there’s a huge difference between how things are now and 2013. YouTubers did whatever they felt like, social media companies were big but not monolithic, and it felt like things were just more sparse. These days every personality has a Twitter or brand. Every corner of the internet has been conquered (barring the completely fragmented deep web). Maybe I was just a kid who couldn’t see it all. I did see the internet of 2008-2009 and it was even more primitive compared to the 2010s.

I guess I feel nostalgia for 2013 creepypasta because of that. It was cringe and embarrassing in a lot of ways. But at the same time people were passionate and earnest in that cringe. Looking back, it really feels like all the complaints people have about the internet started in 2013-2015. I’d even take that annoying google plus drama over the fakeness that feels so common today. I really enjoy my life today- medicine gives me money and I’ve got a child coming next year. But it’s hard to not feel a longing for a time where my worries were math and VCROC.

Reach out to me when you can on discord. It’s nice to stroll down memory lane sometimes. Whyamireadingthis, crashingcymbal, FatalDisease, shiningarmor, and even SloshedTrain were all people who were strange but have a rhythm to what was one of the last flames of the 2000s Wild West web. I miss them sometimes when I think of my youth.

So, a suggestion plus request to review

Hello, LOLSKELETONS. I'd like to get your opinion on a trollpasta I wrote to see if you feel it is ripe to go into mainspace. It's at User:Zaenon/Drafts/A Lingering Fear Within My Heart. Basically I decided to try something called ergotic literature, which is literature that needs a non-trivial effort to read. House of Leaves is a good example of that.

Second thing: Should we have a writer's workshop if we don't already? The wiki could benefit from that, I feel, even though the pastas here are a satire of creepypasta (or are bad creepypasta) do get to me when you can. Thanks. --Zaenon (talk) 04:02, 2 October 2023 (UTC)

Why do you tend to delete creepypastas and trollpastas from this wiki for supposedly being bad and boring?

Site Tweaks

Been testing out some layout tweaks for the site that I'm looking to implement in February. This includes text spacing, image spacing, and header spacing. When implemented, certain templates ({{NSFW}}, {{hrt}}, {{hrb}}, etc.) will also have to be tweaked to make the spacing consistent with the new changes. Code's located here: User:TrollpastaBot/monobook.css, you can put it in User:LOLSKELETONS/monobook.css to check it out and tell me what you think.
