Yoshi's Cursed Island

The player played many Mario games when he/she was little, and his favourite character was Yoshi, mainly because he is so cute and was said to be Mario's best friend and saviour. The player had decided to get the Yoshi's Island game from town, but when the player got there, there wasn't one in any of the gaming stores. But when he was heading home, there was a Yoshi's Island CD disk on the floor, with the game on it. So the player picked it up and ran home, without thinking twice. He put the game into the computer and and waited. After an hour of waiting, the computer said that the disk wasn't shown as readable, and the computer suddenly shut off. He began to find this rather odd, but the player turned the computer back on. But instead of the log-on screen, there was an image of Yoshi that appears in a black background, waving to me. Seeing this, the player smiled warmly. But then Yoshi seemed kind of sad, like he did something wrong, but Yoshi then started waving again. Did he really see him? So the player waved back, and Yoshi seemed pretty cheerful. But then this face of Yoshi appeared in that other Yoshi's place that covered up the whole screen, with a seemingly evil grin, chuckling before the system shut off again. The next time he rebooted the computer, instead of the screen saying "Welcome", it said "Turn back. Turn back now." What did this mean? The player decided to keep going, and he saw this file named "YCI", an he opened it. The Yoshi face appeared again, only this time, his nose was bleeding a little. He finds this extremely strange, but begins the application. The application puts it in fullscreen and stayed black for about 30 seconds before sudden static. The app starts up and the Nintendo symbol appears, but instead of Yoshi saying "Nintendo", it was just static. The intro begins, but the player wasn't interested in that. So he skipped it and at the title screen, there wasn't "Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island". It was "Yoshi's Cursed Island 666: I told you to turn back." He realises something's up, but decided to keep playing out of curiosity. He starts a new game, but this time, Baby Mario isn't there. But the player decided to keep playing as he wanted to play the game. Suddenly a text box appeared, that read "You must escape. It isn't safe here, you need to get away before he does the same thing to you, as he did to Mario!" Who did what to Mario? Was it Kamek? Bowser? Or was it even his own brother, Luigi? Either way, the player didn't stop playing, and just continued on. "Stage 1-1: Make Eggs, Throw eggs" appeared in a black background, as that chuckling appeared again, but more menacing, and a little more deeper than last time. As usual, the level started ordinarily, but instead of the Shy Guys walking around, they were running and trembling in fear. As Yoshi approached one, it just panicked more and more, until finally, Yoshi ate the Shy Guy and made the egg. It didn't seem too bad, but when he threw the egg at another Shy Guy, it got turned into a red gooey paste as the egg exploded, even splattering onto the screen. The player covered his face in fear as the slime was splattered, but soon went back to playing. Level after level, he smashed, crushed and slaughtered his way to the first boss level. It looked normal, but the boss suddenly smashed itself ontop of Yoshi, crushing him violently and laughed maniacally as Yoshi could be heard screaming in agony, the screams sometimes starting to glitch. Soon after the screen faded to black and another picture of Yoshi's face could be seen, now his eyes are dangling from the sockets and his nose was completely busted, bleeding heavily. The chuckling was now so deep, it was almost demonic as the pitch was so low. It sounded a little like Sonic.exe now, but the player had no idea, as he never heard of it before. When he got back to the boss, it actually appeared instead of falling ontop of Yoshi. When he defeated the boss, instead of the original animation, it then exploded into more blood, guts and bones, but the sprites of it was awfully familiar to the classic Mortal Kombat games. The player struck this as odd, too, but decided to keep playing. When he got to the level "Touch Fuzzy, Get Dizzy" stage, it was renamed to "You are not going to survive. Turn away now." Yet the player just kept going, and when he touched a fuzzy, the screen suddenly went black and red, and loud, completely demonic screams could be heard, as creatures were exploding and being slaughtered in the background, as Yoshi slaughtered his way through the level. Soon after, he made it to another level with lava, but the level was named "Goodbye". The player progressed through the level, but when Yoshi touched the lava, an ear-piercing scream was heard as Yoshi exploded seconds after touching the lava, his heart splattering on the screen. The player backed away from it, and when he looked at his hands, they were stained with blood. He shook his head and just continued playing again, and soon made it to the final boss, Baby Bowser. But before the battle, he could see Baby Mario, unconscious with one of his arms missing, blood dripping from the cage that held Baby Mario, attached by a chain that was slowly beginning to snap. As Baby Bowser approached Yoshi, eggs that were much bigger than the original ones in the final boss battle floated by, and when the player tried to collect it, the egg crushed Yoshi's head, more screams are heard, the player now muting the system. But for some reason, the screaming could still be heard. The player cries for it to stop, and it suddenly... did. A text box appeared, reading "This was your fault. You can't deny it." The player was in tears, asking how it was his fault. He knew he had continued playing the game without thinking, but he didn't know it would lead to this. Another text box appeared saying "You did. You did do this. Now you must finish the job, or suffer more." Yoshi is brought back to life, and now the player had to defeat Baby Bowser in a fair fight, the giant eggs now generously smaller. Though Baby Bowser was slowly approaching him, the player soon defeated Baby Bowser, but it came at a price. Baby Mario had vanished. The level faded to black as Yoshi suddenly screamed, melting into a red goo, as one more image of Yoshi's face appeared, his head cut in half, blood dripping everywhere. The image looked so realistic, but at the same time so unrealistic. After a half hour of the image fading away, the player was downstairs, trying to calm down, as he was scared stupid. There was a sudden knock on the door and as he walked over to answer it, there was a sudden voice from outside saying "Game Over." The player hesitated and opened the door, seeing this strange fat man with a moustache, a hat with an 'M' on it and overalls, but only one arm. "Thank you so much for playing my game." The man said, in a familiar voice. The player froze in terror as he realised who it was. "M-Mario..." he said. The man nodded and raised an axe. "See you in hell." and in a flash... it was over. The player's parents never found the body, or the man who killed him. He was said to have never existed, as a plushie sat at the doorstep. It was a Yoshi plushie, and one of the player's favourite ones, too, it's head split in half, it's eyes gouged out and all cut up into shards with a note on it, in big red blood-like letters: "Game Over."
