The Window Knocker

It was the last day of Summer, so I was just finishing up my summer assignments for school tomorrow. I procrastinate a lot, so I was also watching some YouTube videos about dark webs because why not? I was lazily watching the videos, while writing on my essay.

My room is pretty small, my desk is next to my window, and my AC was on since it's a hot day today. I then heard a triple knock on my window. My heart sank to the ground. I thought it was the video at first, because when I opened my curtains no one was there. I looked around the street, and found literally no one. I turned around to see my brother walking down the hallway, so I walked over to him and asked him, "Did you knock on my window?"

He looked at me, and replied, "No, why?"

I felt like he was bluffing or messing with me, so I said again, "Did you knock on my window?"

"No, I'm not lying." He grew frustrated, and went outside to see if anyone was outside. When he came back, I waited for an answer. My heart beat fast when he said, "No one is outside."

"Oh fine," I said, and then I saw my other brother lying on the couch watching a show, so I then asked, "Did you knock on my window?"

"No, I didn't"

I huffed, and walked back to my room. I restarted the video, since I wanted to see if I actually heard the video sound effect. It wasn't a video sound effect. Right now I'm not sure what just happened. Who knocked on my window? Are my brothers messing with me?

So I looked outside again, to see a person with a hoodie. When I looked at their direction, they ran away. My blood ran cold and I just closed the curtains. Tonight, I'm definitely going to sleep with my dogs, and one eye open. Please, don't knock again.
