Family Guy: The Death of Stewie Griffin
I'm so traumatised at what i saw last year. It just won't leave me! whenever i think about some of my favourite things in the world, i get very bad memories from an experience involving a lost cartoon episode. I won't be saying what the cartoon is at this very moment, so let me talk about my job.
I'm an intern at Fox, editing some of the programs and doing some of the voices for the characters. I'll admit that it's a pretty good job! since the staff members i work with are really nice. My boss is very chill and rarely gets angry. Again, i won't be saying his name.
I even do some of the animation for certain cartoons (Like the Simpsons and Bob's Burgers for example) Animating takes quite a while, since i'm already a busy person in real life and can't focus on one particular thing. Voice acting can also be a pain in the ass, since the directors we get are extremely bossy and have anger problems.
Another annoying thing about working at Fox is that there isn't any lunch breaks, like, at all. The staff is sitting in a room constantly making episodes so that the network could air them. I have gotten sick because of this, and i can't really have breakfast in the morning because i wake up at 5:00 AM. Since i'm supposed to arrive at 7:30 AM.
If i arrive later then 7:30, there is always a staff member standing at the very front of the studio that judges me for not arriving on time. I always ignore them. I consider them to be Kens, because hardly any women work for the company.
Some of the staff members i work with have criminal records, which would explain why not many people would want to work with them.
Now, let's talk about Family Guy.
I was never really a fan of the show. Mostly because of the overly political subjects and the gross out humour. The character i hate the most, however, is Stewie Griffin. First of all, i don't like babies. Second of all, i don't like it when babies can talk. I get weird looks around the studio for saying that i don't like family guy, but it doesn't really bother me much
Anyway, i think i should get on with the story now since i've now wasted some of my time.
It was a boiling hot day, and i was messing around in the studio. I was bored, because it was a Monday. I saw a tape on the floor that had the title of "Family Guy: Unreleased Episode"
I was skeptical about it, since whenever i put in tapes like these into the VHS player, There was always a screen of static and that was it.
But this time, the tape actually worked.
Let me just say that watching this tape was the biggest mistake of my entire life, why? you'll find out in a minute.
The episode started with Peter griffin doing the laundry, highly unlike him because he is usually a lazy slob. He was in an upbeat mood and he seemed to be dancing to a tune that played in the background. The tune sounded a lot like the song "Bleed" by Meshuggah, only that it was very low quality.
He appeared to be mouthing words, but absolutely nothing came out. I tried turning the volume up, but it stayed the same. No words came out of peter, and the only sounds you could hear were the sounds of clothes being put in the laundry.
It then cut to Lois, who seemed to be gardening some plants. She wasn't as jolly as peter, instead she looked very irritated with something. The background started to glitch quite a lot, and the audio got all weird. Eventually, the picture faded into black and white.
It cut to Brian, who seemed to be talking to one of his cousins over what seemed to be a zoom call. Again, there was no audio. Like, at all. If you turned it up there would still be absolutely no audio. As if there was an error during the making of the episode. Brian seemed to get more and more infuriated and so did his Cousin.
It then showed Stewie, who was playing with his toys. Again, there was no audio. Suddenly, he swallowed some plastic and began to choke. His eyes began to slowly pop out of their sockets, and his body turned from peach to a darker colour. His bulging eyes started to water up, and he soon died from asphyxiation.
Meg walked into the room to see the dead corpse of her baby brother. She was horrified, she alerted Peter and Lois. They all started to cry as the screen zoomed onto Stewie's dead corpse.
It cut to the funeral, where i could hear laughter coming out of the speakers. The family continued to cry as the laughter faded to some ominous music. The ominous music only got louder and louder until it turned into what appeared to be a group of screaming children.
The sound continued as we were taken back to the house, Where Peter was sitting there still mourning the death of his child. He started to cry, his crying seemed to get quieter and was eventually replaced with the sound of a chainsaw ripping through human flesh. His crying suddenly stopped.
I was petrified at what i was watching. It strangely faded to a commercial break. During the break, i managed to get in contact with my boss to see if he knew anything about the episode. He said that it was just a part of my imagination.
"No, you don't understand!"
"I do understand!
"No, you DON'T!"
"Hey, how about you get back to work. Otherwise, i'll fire you"
My boss really wasn't having the best day today, he was in a grouchy mood. I was starting to get stressed out.
After the break, the episode continued. Peter was still crying, but the sound of a woman screaming could be heard in the background.
It suddenly faded to black, then what was about to happen will stay in my memory forever.
It was a room with dead bodies hanging on the ceiling, and a bunch of severed arms and legs on the floor. Peter walked into the room looking absolutely miserable. He looked up and saw the bodies hanging, he grinned at the disturbing sight then laughed. It wasn't really cartoon laughter, however. His laughter was filled with pure bloodlust and anger. He continued to laugh as he hung a noose slowly, then he said in an extremely demonic tone:
"Oh my god, this room is hilarious"
Before fainting onto the floor. The episode ends there with the normal credits.
Well, i wish i could say it was over. But in reality, it wasn't.
It faded to a clip of a dog. The strange thing is that it looked a lot like my (now deceased) dog Lily. The man holds a knife up towards the camera, then carves into the dogs flesh:
"Stupid mutt"
Then, he grabs a plastic bag and suffocates the poor canine to death. I covered my eyes at this very moment, considering that i'm an avid dog lover.
The second clip showed a baby with a knife impaled through his eye. He was twitching in agony and the sounds of a man singing could be heard. The baby then started to scream and cry, then he started to foam at the mouth before finally falling asleep.
The third and final clip showed an image of my family with a few differences. My mum's eyes were bloodshot and she also had fangs. My dad's flesh appeared to be melting, and the only thing you could see is his skull. And my flesh appeared to be decaying too.
I started to freak out, how does this man even know who i am?! The episode finally ended as the TV cut to static.
I started to hyperventilate. I found it hard to believe that the man who made this actually knew who i was! I was finding it hard to think with the 3 clips glued into my mind.
I tried to contact my Boss about this via Email. But all i got is a response that said:
"Like i said before, you're probably imaging things. Now, please grow up and try not to see things that aren't really there."
Due to that response irritating the hell out of me, i decided not to email anyone anymore.
This episode has affected my personality in a really bad way. I used to be a happy go lucky intern at fox but now nobody even wants to talk to me anymore. I find my life miserable now and i just want it to end already.
I now constantly have nightmares about Dogs dying, and i never have a dream where i can be where i want to be.
After i watched the episode, i was fired for lying to my boss and the other staff members. That's fine with me.
I don't need a job anyway.
