When I first started playing Minecraft, I wasn't too interested. In fact, it was hard to understand at first, as I had no tutorials to teach me. I ended up quitting after half an hour of playing, and didn't come back to it until over half a year later. But that's not the point. In that small amount of time, I punched trees, made a few tools, got some cobblestone, piddled around a little bit with building things. I remember while doing so, there was another character there- Herobrine. I honestly thought maybe he was a little companion added into the game to combat the loneliness of being the only player. He watched me for the longest time, and when I got bored digging tunnels, I came back up and chased after him as he ran off. I followed him across some hills when he disappeared. It was about then that I got bored, and quit the game. I never thought twice about that little companion, until I started playing again, and wondered "Where is that guy that follows me around? I liked him, he was cool." I didn't bother myself with it too much. Not until I was browsing Minecraft forums, and came across the Herobrine creepypasta. I was honestly horrified, I'd sat there and messed with him for a good half hour, and I'd never even realized he wasn't supposed to be there. I haven't seen him since, and I'm glad it's kept that way. Though sometimes at night, when I looked out the windows of my minecraft house, I see unmoving figure in the distance. It disappears past hills, and leaves soon after, and I can only hope it's a creeper.
