I really regret adding a new episode to my Peppa Pig collection

Ever since I was a child, I've been very lonely. I had no friends, a family so terrible, I could hardly call it so. The only thing that filled that void were cartoons, especially Peppa Pig. That was my passion, the only thing I thought of, from dusk until dawn. As I grew up, that passion turned into an obsession. I became an avid Peppa Pig media collector. How could I have known where that fate would lead me?

It all started this morning. I went to a flea market to hunt for things to add to my ever-growing collection, as I do weekly, despite these efforts becoming less fruitful as time's gone by. To my surprise, however, I found an old woman selling a bootleg copy of a Peppa Pig episode I had never before laid my eyes upon. She tried to warn me not to watch the video, but I bought it with the intention of watching it anyway, in spite of its steep price.

When I got home I immediately put the DVD in the player, but was shocked when the regular opening, the one I recited each morning, didn't play. Instead, all I could hear was static and the sound of Peppa crying, while the TV displayed Peppa, shrouded by darkness, curled up while realistic blood poured from her eyes.

After five minutes of such agonizing imagery, I gave up and was about to put the disc back in its box when the actual episode started. For the first ten minutes, everything seemed like a regular episode, although one I had never seen. My vast Peppa Pig lore knowledge immediately allowed me to recognize this episode as a prequel to the show. It showed the day Peppa's brother, George, was born and how she soon became jealous of all the attention he was given. It almost made me forget what I had just witnessed beforehand. However, after a bit more time, it became apparent that something wrong was going on. Peppa started drawing disturbing pictures of George drowning, being hanged or dying in other gruesome ways. Eventually, Peppa grabbed her brother and put him in the basement, a place so full of horrifying, abject horror that neither her parents nor friends went. Then, she brewed a potion, which she put in her parents' and friends' food, in order to make them forget Georges' existence. So, George stayed in basement, feeding solely on the darkness that surrounded him.

As soon as the episode ended, I heard my doorbell ring. When I opened the door, however, there was no one there, just a video cassette placed on the ground. I grabbed it and read in its label "Peppa Pig", written in what I hope was red ink. I rushed inside, sure I had a VHS player in my basement.

I ran downstairs, not knowing I would never walk up them again. I am now using the remnants of my phone's battery to write this. To warn everyone who may find this disc for sale. I don't know what will happen when my phone's light goes out, but that thing staring at me from the darkness looks more and more excited as time's gone by.
