Nightmare Ned

One day I was bored and had nothing to do, so I turned on the TV and Nightmare Ned was on. It was dark and greenish looking, poor quality, poor sound, and poor everything. It opened with Ned eating breakfast. He walked outside and was playing on his bike.

I thought it was just some random commercial, but after I saw the intro I realized it was an episode. Ned was playing with Conrad, and Vernon appeared. It was hard to understand what they said, because they sounded like they were babbling.

They apparently began to suck the brain out of a child and he turned into a zombie. the children at his class thought it was a prank but they were wrong. Ned raped the zombified child, while Conrad and Vernon decapitated the teacher, and then melted. I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

Ned's parents reported him to the officer and the officer tried to find any evidence. As he was looking, Ned began to die. Ned said, "Mom, Dad, Amy. remember me from when I am in the up above". They cried for 30 seconds as the episode came to a close.

I turned off the TV, and after 5 seconds I turned it back on and it froze on the ending frame. I unplugged the TV, but it was still frozen. Finally, I gave it a good kick and it turned off. Nervously, I plugged the set back in and, to my relief, it was no longer frozen; it was playing a cereal commercial. I checked my TV Guide to see if there were any Disney films playing that could help ease my mind of the horror I had just seen, and then it suddenly dawned on me.

Nightmare Ned had been cancelled 3 months ago.
