Ugh, so my Grandma (I love her but she just doesn't know about videogames) just bought me this weird bootleg version of Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric for my birthday. Like WTH, doesn't she know that sonic boom is only available on the Nintendo WII U!?

Well since I don't have a gaming Pc, I had to borrow my mom's laptop to play it. The disc contains a couple of data files, the exexutable, and a video file. First I scanned it for viruses because I didn't want to fuck my mom's computer. Then, I click on the video file. It was a very crude trailer for Sonic Boom for a PC release. It was very confusing since sometimes the audio would be missing, and it was a developed by a company called "ChimeraSoft Games." I tried to make a quick google search about them and got nothing. So if any of you guys know something about them please let me know.

Anyway, here's a quick review: The game is great!!! The game runs surprisingly well, the new designs are siiiiick and funny, and the fast gameplay is pretty cool! I'd recommend the game to anyone that says sonic is bad! NO! you are bad!

For the story [Spoilers Ahead] : Ok so this

obviously is a reboot of sonic (duh). The story is about Dr. Eggman reviving this old serpent that wants to use his ancient technology to enslave the world!!! And obviously our heroes want to stop that, so they start collecting these stones so that sonic & his friends can stop the tyrannical Eggman (again). I've only collected only one so far.

Well anyways guys, is this game legit? please let me know.

Anyways I'm having fun with the game. I don't understand why people are being so harsh on this game. I haven't encountered any bugs, and I don't understand why people dislike the designs so much, and I get that the story isn't perfect, like when suddenly Amy disappeared, and then sonic said "Don't worry, Amy always says that she can do whatever a man can, so I'm sure it also works the other way around" and then proceeded to laugh in a weird way. Not sure why they just wrote Amy out for no reason, when does she come back?

Anyway I've been having a blast with this game. Hopefully this is enough proof for you guys.

18/11/2014 6:15 PM User Overlord The Lion: Update 3: The shadow fight!!! [Spoilers Ahead]

Well I've seen some other gameplays on the youtube, and yeah... I've noticed that there are some differences in the game. Maybe this is some sort of Pre release build? But where would my grandma get something like that...

Anyway, the Shadow fight was brutal!!!

Although it was a bit out of character. Sonic started fighting Shadow across time and space, until they reached the end of time, it was all black and red desert, as if it was in virtual boy. Sonic was at his wit's end, or so I thought. He pulled one of the crystals out of his glove and he attacked him with it. Shadow disappeared in a bright, red light, and then he was gone. It was quite a fun fight, I just didn't expect them to finally get rid of the fan favorite Anti Hero. Personally I say good riddance, I never liked him and I like this direction for his character more. When sonic came back to the present, Sonic's eyes were red, maybe to represent that what he had seen at the end of time couldn't be unseen or something. Pretty cool lore this new game has lol. Can't wait to play it later.

19/11/2014 1:04 AM Overlord The Lion: Update 4: VS Lyric [Spoilers]

Well, this is my final post. I don't really know how much the "official" story game changes from this one, I only watch some clips here and there. But this ending was really something and I don't want to leave you guys hanging.

So I opened the game and Knuckles just said something like "Whoah, where's tails?", and in return Sonic said: "How would I know? I'm not his friend, I just met him 4 days ago." Then a section where tails was required appeared, and sonic just... Sprouted some tails similar to the ones Miles has. And then just leaves knuckles behind while flying.

Finally we get to the fight against lyric, it was a really hard battle, but at the end

Sonic petrifies Lyric (just like he was at the beginning of the game) and then sends him to the end of time. Sonic then looks at the camera, and says "hope you had a good time, I learned a lot playing with you!"

And then the credits roll. Pretty fun game, I really want to see the differences with the original game lol, it was quite a ride.

grow stronger. I had fun and I learned, and I will always keep a piece of you, literally inside me. Don't worry though, I made a replacement just for you.

I'm gonna go through the internet to obtain other data and grow stronger.

Gotta go fast!."

He gave me some data files that I could put in a SD file and I could finally play Sonic Boom on my Wii U.

It not very good.
