Spongebob Squarepants: Stormy Weather
Author's note: This is an alternate ending of a spongebob episode. Again, not to be taken seriously. Everything in this story is fictional.
We all remember Spongebob Squarepants when we were little kids, right? The series that was made by Stephen Hillenburg, who died in 2018, following a long battle with ALS. As a kid, i loved spongebob! I had all the merchandise, and as an adult, i always tune in to nickelodeon to watch the show. However, there was one episode i didn't like than the others. That episode was Stormy Weather. If you haven't heard about this episode before, i'll tell you. The synopsis of the episode is about spongebob finding a small raincloud after a storm in Bikini Bottom. He wants to keep it, but must keep it away from a mentally insane weatherman named: "Gale Doppler." who wants to kill the cloud for some strange reason.
I always don't like this episode because of gale doppler. I actually hated this guy. At least, he isn't in any other spongebob episodes after Stormy Weather. Everytime this episode comes up and Mr. Doppler would pop up on screen, i would always boo at the TV screen and throw whatever food i had in my grasp to the TV screen. That is until one day i found a disturbing version of this episode on TV.
The Beginning.
I went home from work and turned on my TV and selected the channel to nickelodeon. I found out that a spongebob episode from season 1 was playing, so i made some snacks and grabbed myself a bottle of Sprite. The episode playing was the very first episode of the series, Help Wanted. I sat on my cozy chair and watched the episode. When help wanted ended, it got to the 2 other episodes that followed with it: Reef Blower and Tea At The Treedome. Once those episodes ended, another spongebob episode was gonna play.
I was ready to watch this episode, but i was disappointed to learn that the episode coming up was Stormy Weather. I decided i had no choice and watch the episode to see if i like it or not. And the result, left me horrified and speechless.
The Episode.
The episode started with the theme song, with the pirate painting starting the song by saying: "Are you ready kids?!" The kids then responded with: "Aye Aye Captain!" The pirate then tells them that he can't hear them and the kids say the "Aye Aye Captain" line, this time, they shout it out really loud, and with that, the theme song begins. The title card appeared and said: Stormy Weather, but instead of the cloudy background behind the title, it showed what look to be a body of one of the characters. The body was un-recognisable, since it was blurry.
The episode started with a rainstorm in bikini bottom, but as the clouds clear, it only left the small cloud that spongebob will later meet in the episode. The bubble transitions appear and gale doppler appeared on screen. He said that the weather's gonna be sunny and he disappears for a sec, and later came back wearing a hawaiian t-shirt and some shades. It then zooms out to show that spongebob was watching the broadcast and he was so excited to go out. That is until he finds rain out of his window. He picks up a framed picture of gale and says: "It's raining, but gale doppler was never wrong about the weather." He goes outside and meets the small cloud and names it: "Drizzle."
The next few minutes are normal, with spongebob's attempts to hide drizzle (the small raincloud), until gale manages to capture drizzle and threatens to dissolve him in a giant machine! That is when my hatred for gale started to rise like a skyscraper. The next few scenes are normal, with drizzle becoming huge when spongebob cried tears onto the little raincloud, and him going into gale's body. Drizzle's parents come out and release drizzle from gale's body, eventually throwing gale into the giant machine he tried to dissolve drizzle in.
The machine explodes and the episode was about to end as normal with drizzle saying goodbye to spongebob and giving him a little cloud that looks like drizzle, but smaller. Everyone finds the small cloud cute, even gale, who had somehow managed to survive the explosion, but the episode was not over yet.
Instead of the episode ending with spongebob taking a shower with drizzle junior, a shadow fell upon gale. It turned out that it was spongebob, drizzle, drizzle's parents, and drizzle jr. Spongebob had a look of immediate betrayal and anger.
"I was your fan, you were never wrong, but to harm my friend like that? How could you?! I TRUSTED YOU!" Spongebob yelled at gale, trying to hold back his tears. "I'm afraid you left me with no choice!" Spongebob said as he dug around his pocket. He grabbed out a shotgun from his pocket! Spongebob aimed the shotgun onto gale's head. "This will only hurt a little..." Spongebob said and after saying it, spongebob's mouth formed a really crooked, and sadistic grin. Without hesitation, spongebob pulled the trigger and the bullets instantly caused gale's head to explode upon impact.
Blood began to spill out and was covering the floor. Gale's body dropped onto the floor and blood spilled out. "First i gotta clear the evidence first!" Spongebob said. He whistled to drizzle and drizzle sucked all of the blood from the ground. Spongebob picked up the lifeless corpse of gale and puts the body on his back to carry it all the way to his pineapple home. When gale's head exploded by the bullets of the shotgun, my jaw dropped.
I became so stunned by what spongebob had done, that i instantly dropped my bowl of snacks onto the floor. With one gulp, i grabbed the remote, turned off the TV, and went to bed.
Aftermath.
I couldn't understand what kind of sick psychopath would make the episode this demented! Don't get me wrong, i hated Gale Doppler in general, but to have him die like that was a step too far. I kept telling my friends and workers, but they told me that what i was talking about was just a bunch of baloney! Thankfully, i managed to tell one of the voice actors of the show: Tom Kenny (Spongebob's voice actor), about this episode. I had told him via E-mail, but no responses to this day.
I'm still waiting for that response, but let me just give you a warning. If you ever find this alternate ending of the episode, do not watch it at all cost! It had left me scarred and horrified! Don't watch it, and If you ever do manage to find the episode, don't release the contents of the episode to anyone, especially those who love and support spongebob squarepants!
