The "Friend" Website
2009. Age 10. I would always go to my home computer and click on that website.
It wasn't much. It was a colorful website, with games and drawing tools and digital pets and stuff. It was called 'Friend Website'.
The website had different programmes, like "Busy Bob" or "Superb Sally". Each type of programme represented a "digital friend". I still remember. There were only 21 people on the website. It was a lesser known site.
My favorite part of the website was Little Lilly. Out of the 21 kids who used this site, 15 kids used that part of the site. There was a chat feature, a multiplayer drawing canvas, a pet game, a blog site and a show called "Marie Story" that only played on the site.
One day, a new feature appeared. It was a button with messy hand writing. It was labeled "Silly poems". When clicked, it just led to a strange picture titled "Remembrance".
It also had a caption.
"The poem can't describe how much I remember you. "
Five days later, the site shut down for 2 whole damn weeks. However, one of the developers kept the chat system open. It was just a colorful screen and a chat window.

There was smth special about the notifications of the site. If you put the thing FULL CAPS, the sound would be louder. And even if you shut off your device, it would still sound on.
