The Incident at the Movies

It started out as a fun activity with my family. It was my son's birthday, so the whole family (my daughter, my wife and I) plus my mother went to the movie theatre. I bought the popcorn and headed to my seat. It was beside my son. I didn't know at the time how wrong that decision was. As I sat down, the seat made a long, bizarre but horrifying fart noise. It lasted ten seconds and was the nastiest fart I've ever heard. Everybody in the room was looking at me in disgust. I got up. I wanted to show them that it wasn't me, so I pushed the seat back down, saying "no, it's just the seat! See!" But there was no sound. My face was red, I was sweating everywhere and adrenaline was racing through my body. I tried pushing it back down a dozen more times, but it only made me look very ridiculous in front of the whole room. Defeated and embarrassed, I sat back down again. I was so sweaty and embarrassed. I cried during the whole movie.
