Having finally had enough of the Simpsons' shenanigans, Flanders snapped and formulated a plan to get rid of them once and for all. As Homer was out at Moe's Tavern one night, Flanders broke into the Simpson household and kidnapped Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie who still remain missing to this day and have most likely been murdered. Their bodies never found. He then removed the evidence and made it look like the family had left the house. A few days went by and Homer started to notice the rest of his family didn't return. After asking around the citizens of Springfield as to the whereabouts of his family, Homer received little to no answers. He eventually decided to ask his neighbor, Flanders. With a straight face and looking at the Simpson right at the eyes, he said...

"They're gone, Homer. They left you behind. Simply put. You could no longer provide for them."

Homer refused to believe this lie, but Flanders used Homer's simple mindedness and naivety to his advantage, making him accept this "truth". Subtly making him realize that his life was a waste Filled with sadness, despair and heartbreak, Homer ran into the house crying and proceeded to over-eat and drink before he passed away the next morning. Upon hearing the news of the death of nis neighbor, Flanders smiled... for the first time in what seemed like an eternity.
