The Truth Behind Bowser's Fury

The Mario franchise. Fun, colorful, bouncy, bright, upbeat. But one level may not fit here at all... Bowser's Fury. I have come to tell you the real story of why this terrifying unfitting level came to be.

There was a drunk man from Canada, let's call him Timpson. Anyway, Timpson was in love with edgy stuff, specifically Dark Souls and Skyrim. One day he decided to make his own level called Dreka's Fury for Dark Souls. Once he was finished, he went off to try to make the level official.

Unfortunately, he was so drunk that he accidentally ended up showing it to Nintendo, the owner of Mario. They were trying to make a new level for Super Mario 3D World for the Nintendo Switch, and found his concept.

They thought it would make a great level, so they put it in without realizing the disturbing concept. 3 minutes of the gameplay, and parent complaints ringed in stating that there was a level in Mario that was scaring their kids. Other people seemed to enjoy it.
