The Unknown Story
I am a huge fan of The Maze Runner Series. I have read every book. So when I heard of the prequel to the first book, Which is appropriately called, The Kill Order, I was excited. My dad, also being a fan of the series, wanted the book also. So I ended up talking him into buying me the book. I remember it was a sunny day, and I had just gotten finished cleaning the house,with my dad's help,because I knew more about the book then he did, and I wasn't allowed to leave the house until my chores were done.
So after I finished we went to the local book store, and they had run out of their copies within the first hour, and it would be a month or so as tons of people, wanted the book and it was put on back-order. We visited a few others, all the same story. My dad wanted to go to the library, to see if they had it. Deciding that it would be better then leaving the town, and returning that night, since I had school the next day. So we went to the library. We got there and they had nothing the thing was reserved for a month. So we went home as it was almost nine-o'clock at night.
I looked online, amazon was out, they had the e-book version, but I didn't have a kindle or anything like that, and I couldn't download anything, and I wanted a hard copy, for my father, and so I could read it much more often. So I went on e-bay, and I found a copy, much to my dismay, it was relatively cheap, and was in good condition, only a few markings, according to e-bay, and was about ten dollars. The price and condition should have turned me away, but I really wanted the book, and I could get it instantly without bidding. So I talked my dad into it, and we bought it, with express shipping.
It came the next day, and looked in relatively great condition. There was a little symbol in it, I disregarded it thinking, the person may have baby-sat ,as most of the people who got the book were teenagers and kids, and a kid had marked on it. So I read the book.
I don't remember much after this so I will be using my journal to help me out.

I revived the book and I read up to, Chapter 1. I had a nice day, aside from a few people escaping from the prison, and threatening the school

I got to chapter Five, people around me have been acting very strange, being anti-social.

One of the people who are being anti-social attacked me and a few friends when I tried to read the book. I haven't read the book again since this.

More and more people have been attacking others, epically me when I try to read the book. It seems like the later stages of flare in later in the series.

Alright most people have been acting like they have flare, however I intend to read the book at home in my room alone. Maybe the book has answers written on a page in there, even though I doubt it. Only a few friends, me, and my brother have been acting normal.

People definitely have the flare, from what I can tell, even though it should be impossible, maybe the symbol has something to do with it. I'm going to do some research.

The research has turned up empty. I have been attacked, or at least came close to, about twelve times today. It is ridiculous. I have gotten about half way through the book though.

I have had memory lapses lately, however with the stress I have endured I do not think it is the flare. Most of my friends have gone crazy, however me and my brother have shown no symptoms, we may be immune. I think I'm going slightly crazy since my father died recently, and I had to take refuge in some woods behind our house. Thank goodness I know how to hunt, and cook in the wilderness. I have continued reading the book, I'm nearing the end.

I don't remember writing anything for the past three days, even though I did, the memory lapses seem to have gone away after this. I'll see if I get another lapse.

We had to run from some infected. As a joke, even though it is more than that, we call them Cranks. I seem to have been remembering things I forgot, and the lapses have stopped for now.
After this I can remember things much more clearly. So I will no longer use the journal, except for a few parts.
After this when I was nearing the end of the book, and my brother went insane, and threw the book into our fire, saying how it was the book's fault and the only way to stop it was to destroy it. We agreed I would finish it earlier, then burn it. However it did not burn it just sealed.
Then The military arrived and have tried to kill anyone Infected or not. I heard rumors from a few immunes, that they are planning to nuke the town and do a HUGE cover up. Things go hazy again here.

I heard that they are going to nuke the city. I must escape, they are killing anything that they see try to move across the boarder. I know a weak "link" where I can escape. The only things I'm bringing are the book, my journal, and the clothes on my back. I have some family in Murfreesboro, that I can live with.
So I escaped, I had three days to escape. I planned my escape on the first day, rested and ate in the daytime in the second day and made my escape that night. I went to the weak link about 3 miles from my location, so I had to hurry as I arrived I saw they had strengthened it. However I noticed only two people were up and they had to patrol everything when they were looking away I ran up and took the guns out of their hands and ran. I managed to get, from what I can imagine, 5 miles before sunrise.
Afterwards I got into a small town which was being evacuated as a "disease" was spreading, they claimed the town next to them was evacuated, and the buildings were being burned. I managed to get a ride, and got to Murfreesboro later in the day.
Then I went to my aunt and uncle's house where I told them I needed a place to stay, not telling them about the horror I went through. They agreed, although they asked no questions which was odd.
A while later I decided to sell the book again on eBay, and look up the person who sold it to me. I was told that user did exist however was banned 3 years ago, and then deleted. When I said I got it from that person, they said it was impossible. I sold the book, and got a new copy. I did finish the book once I go the new copy.
I assume the flare went dormant, and I am no longer contagious, however I'm still infected.
The only reason why you are reading this is because I wanted to tell my story. I couldn't take it anymore. So I decided to post it here. I posted it in another section on another site, which I have forgotten the URL to, and was moved to creepy pasta section, even though I argued it was real, although no one believed me. I hope someone here will, and learn from my mistake.
