VSauce: Bathroom

Hey, Vsauce, Michael here. What is a bathroom? Well, etymologically, it is a room containing a bath. But culturally, it's where we go to "go to the bathroom", so to speak. A public bathroom, for example, contains no bath, yet we still consider it a bathroom. So, if a bathroom is a place where people go to defecate or urinate, then that makes for some interesting questions. If a man poops on the street, is the street a bathroom? What if multiple people poop on the street. It is now a place where people have gone to defecate, so culturally, does that make it a bathroom? Or does that make the world a bathroom? Sure, you could argue that it has to be a room, a place with walls surrounding it, but isn't the world just one big room when you think of it? Something is keeping all that gas from escaping Earth, after all.
