Virtual Stranger

I was laying in bed using my VR headset, as I often do. It's really relaxing to just lay there and use your desktop or play a VR game while laying down. I just finished playing a game when I went back to my home screen, and I was pulling up my desktop to use it. That's when I thought I saw a glimpse of something. I felt like I was being watched.

I minimized desktop mode and saw some strange figure standing off in the distance. I was apprehensive, to say the least. He didn't move at all, and didn't do anything but stand there and watch me. I had never seen this figure before, so he obviously was some kind of easter egg. But what kind of weird secret was this? I tried waving my controller-hand at him, and he just stood there, watching me. I laughed and just figured he was there to startle me momentarily, and opened desktop mode again.

My friend sent me a discord message.

Hey, what are you doing right now?

I replied:

Nothing. I'm in VR mode. But there's some weird son of a bitch watching me in VR and hasn't gone away. Did you ever see him before?

My friend kept writing the same message for a while, and kept erasing it again. Finally he wrote:

What the hell lol

I saw the figure in the background of desktop mode start moving, so I said:

Hold on, dude, he just moved

I exited desktop mode again.

I saw the mysterious figure start waving at me happily. He kept doing it over and over again, like he was stuck in an animation loop. Was this a joke? How long was he going to stay there? Eventually I went back into desktop mode and told my friend:

He's fucking waving at me

My friend didn't respond, because my internet connection suddenly went out. My headset started getting really tight, and I couldn't take it off. I was frozen in fear as the figure quickly warped in front of me and screamed loudly into my headset! "DON'T FUCKING IGNORE ME YOU MOTHERFUCKER!"

I felt him grasping my head; his icy cold hands started clutching around my throat. I couldn't take off the VR headset. His face was indescribable. I felt like I was slowly passing out, and blacked out after that.

I woke up later on and the headset was still on my head, and the figure was gone. My head hurt like hell. I took my headset off and looked across the room. A black figure was standing there and I felt every hair on my body go up and the goosebumps came quickly.

"What do you want?!" I shouted.

He didn't do anything, but he slowly started to speak.

"Your virtual reality is my reality."

The figure jumped on top of me and started holding me down... but I took out my headset and gave it to him.

"You can have VR fun too... please, before you kill me... just try it...."

He put on the VR headset. He started to play VRchat. I saw on my computer screen that he went into a room, and started cussing out everyone. Everyone started ganging up on him and cussing him back out, calling him a pee-pee bitch and a fucknugget. He started getting irritable.

"You don't want to see me angry, do you?" the stranger said to one of the guys playing VRchat.

The guy with an anime girl avatar said "Fuck you fucking pussy. I fucking hate you. Go play a different game. Fuck you. Your avatar is so dumb you fugly bitch. Fuck you. Fuck you. Fuck you."

This went on for an hour, until the stranger took off the headset and sat down on my bed.

"I'm sorry I scared you. I caught you fapping one day and I came out to scare you. Fapping is wrong." he said.

"Shut up. I can do what I want. You choked me, invaded my house, and used my VRchat account to cause trouble. You're an asshole."

"You're right, kid...." the stranger said. He stood up off my bed and jumped up like Mario in Super Mario 64, doing a frontflip into the VR headset. I went to bed after this ordeal.

The next couple days I had a yard sale and sold my VR headset to some dude. Hopefully he doesn't mind the shadowy figure that haunts it.... heh heh heh..........
