When I booted up the game and saw the title screen, I saw that the graphics and design were very similar to the Mario Party I remember. Anyway, I booted it up and saw the main menu, which was also really similar to what I thought it looked like in my mind. Then, when I pushed the “Solo” button, suddenly, ball room music from the 1920’s or so started to play, and the game started to feel, off. I couldn’t figure out what it was, but it just felt off. I then picked Mario and started my Solo adventure. Then, I noticed that there was no cutscenes. I remembered from my childhood there was cutscenes. I barely remember what they were, but I remember they existed. Anyway, then we got on the first board, called Toad Road.

The Toad Road experience started with a Toad speaking about the board. Normal stuff, however, then when we got to rolling the die, I randomly passed out. When I woke up, I saw that the board looked warped. Like someone with dementia tried recreating the board as precise as possible, but just couldn’t. What’s weird too was that all spaces on the board remained the same shape wise, but the actual spaces were either Bowser spaces or this distorted image. Also, I was going last on the roll. Oh well, anyway, the first person to roll was Yoshi. Yoshi got a 5, which landed him on this distorted image. When he landed on it, Yoshi decided to get out of the car and try walking, then became part of the distortion of the board. Then after that happened, the game crashed. “WHAT THE FUCK WAS THATTHE…!?” I yelled out loud. Then in rage, I was gonna try taking out the disc and breaking it in half, but when I tried ejecting it, it wasn’t ejecting. It just, stayed in the Wii. Then I suddenly starting thinking about how I’d die. Apparently, I was gonna die of drowning in something that wasn’t water. It seemed to be drowning in rage. I then knew why the disc stayed in the Wii. It was for my safety. After all this, I accepted what had happened and I kept the disc in there and continued with my day. Nowadays, I still have the exact Wii, and the disc is still in it. I don’t touch it since every time I try, I always get reminded of my rage and my potential death. So I don’t touch that Wii, and I won’t ever again.
