Dear teacher,

I'm sorry I'm not able to turn in my homework today. The reason is quite simple and also quite horrifying. You see, my dog ate my homework.

I know what you're thinking. How could a dog eat a homework assignment? Well, let me tell you. It was no ordinary dog. It was a giant, slavering beast with teeth the size of steak knives. And it was hungry.

I came home from school yesterday to find the house in disarray. Furniture was overturned, dishes were broken, and there was a trail of carnage leading to my bedroom. And there, in the center of the room, was my dog, standing over my shredded homework.

I tried to scold him, but he just bared his teeth and growled. I tried to pull him away, but he was too strong. I tried to reason with him, but he just stared at me with those cold, dead eyes. And then I knew I was in trouble.

This wasn't my dog anymore. This was something else. Something evil. Something possessed.

It's been hours now, and I'm still barricaded in my room. I can hear it prowling outside, waiting for me to come out. I don't know what to do. I'm scared, teacher. I'm really scared.

Please, if you find this note, help me.

Sincerely,

Your student
