Minecraft: The Lost Survival Test

On 11th of December 2008 it was my 9th b-day so my mom and dad bought me a PC.

When the christmas vacantion ended my friends told me about a site called Tig Source Forums.

From there i downloaded a lot of games wich was fun!

My gaming experience changed on 17th of May from 2009 when a man called Markuss "Notch" Alexej Persson released to the public a game called Minecraft.

I played the game all day and all night the game because it was really fun to play a blocky game where you can build what you want! (Also Minecraft became the most selled game since 2019)

On 19th of May 2009 Markuss posted on the social media a post telling about him having a silly ideea of adding rabbits that if you attack them they will pop into many pieces and bleed.

I was weirded out but i ignored it.

When Survival Test was released i was excited but i was disturbed of what i saw.

The version was 0.24_0 Survival Test instead of the planned 0.24_1 Survival Test but i tought it was a limited test so i updated the game.

It was so cool seeing so many mobs but one was the most intresting. That mob was a white little rabbit like the size of the baby rabbits added in Release 1.9 (To not make any confusion baby rabbits and adult ones were added in 1.8 but were made smaller in 1.9).

I shot it whit an arrow and the same thing happened like Notch said in that post.

If i was me at this point i wouldn't be scared but 9 year old me was disturbes seeing blocky blood all over the place.

When Release 1.8 was released, rabbits were added.

I was scared to kill one but surprisingly it just dropped meat but when i heard about The Killer Bunny i immediatly reminded about the Survival Test incident.

I still play Minecraft to this day and i'm no longer scared about the incident.
