The Fearmaster
Dr. Jaks: "Patient Interview #1 with Mason Marshall, Patient #000175, how are you today, Mason?"
Mason: "I didn't mean to kill him, Mark, he, HE MADE ME DO IT!"
Dr. Jaks: "Calm Down, Mason, you are safe here, what happened that day, in March, when Mark died?"
Mason: "It was a normal day, yeah, normal. I wish I could go back and do it again, save Mark. I jogged for a mile, and saw him... with that fucking Fedora and that Overcoat, he fed on me, he-he lives in all of us. Doctor, the thing, the thing that makes you run up to your room really quick, like someone is chasing you, that's his weakest form."
Dr. Jaks: "Who, Mason?"
Mason: "Phobus. Fearmaster, the Greeks had it right, they knew what he caused in all of us, Doctor. He takes form, shows us what we fear most, and makes us do things, we couldn't do... God dammit, he made me kill Mark..."
Dr. Jaks: Phobus... Does not exist Mason, he is not real, it's all in your head."
Mason: "No, you don't understand... They call it schizophrenia, pyschotic episode, whatever, but I know, I saw him. That smug motherfucker. I can still hear him, calling my name every night, laughing."
Dr. Jaks: "Mason-"
Mason: "YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT I SAW, YOU HAVE NO IDEA!"
*Struggling is heard, and screams.*
Dr. Jaks: "Damien, restrain him!"
*A large CRACK, another scream, this time from Dr. Jaks.*
Dr. Jaks: "Oh, my God, you-you killed Damien, HELP, HELP ME PLEASE!!"
Mason: "Whatsa matter, Doc, you scared?!"
*Another scream, and a cough, then silence.*
Mason: "Oh, God, you made me kill another... fuck, fuck, FUCK!"
Soon after these tapes were recorded, a large fire occured at the Asylum where Mason was being held, all was destroyed but this one tape, hundreds were killed, but one patient was unnacounted for, Mason Marshall, Patient #000175. Soon after Mason turned up missing, a cryptic letter was sent from Mason to a police department in New York. It had a series of cryptic numbers:
"84382683468349032897462348623846283462934862634592346509234629384652645"
After months of attempted decoding, this answer was found:
"I AM PHOBOS I AM A GOD I WILL KILL ALL WHO FEAR ME ALL WHO DIE BY MY BLADE WILL BE MY SERVANTS IN PARADISE."
Mason has never been caught, and a series of mysterious murders on the Eastern Coast lead many to believe he is alive and well, acquiring more and more servants.
