The Fiddle Made of Gold

I am a clairvoyant teenager. I live in Georgia with my Grandpa Jonathan

On an ancient orchard covered in dead peaches. He loves fiddle music. And sometimes he has this like shifty thing with his eyes. This will be important later.

So.

Deep in our attic... where it is VERY DARK AND NO ONE EVER GOES BECAUSE THE LOCK IS RUSTY AND CREAKS.

I was looking for something kind of ancient I could make into a bowl so my parents wouldn't miss it. Then, under a stack of at least 15-20 upside down bibles and TV guides I found it.

A golden fiddle. It was covered in dust.

I was amazed and terrified because it was covered in runes and like a lot of 6's and I could see the face of an old man with a long white beard and a giant cowboy hat staring at me from deep within its case. Then it began to play by itself. This was not cool because usually fiddles have players.

Then my grandpa Jonathan came up to the attic. HIS EYES WERE OPEN AND SHIFTED. He told me "now you know my secret. Once upon a time I was in a fiddling contest with the devil. That golden fiddle was my reward."

I was in awe and amazed that my grandpa had beaten the devil in a fiddle contest, but then I saw the gold start to chip off the damn thing as it played in the air. It was just spray paint. This was just like, a regular old fiddle. FUCK AND AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

The blood drained out of my face. I turned super white. I looked at Grandpa Jonathan and said: "If you didn't actually win the Golden fiddle, where is your soul... are... are... you the DEVIL????!!!"

My Grandpa was like "Shit... I sold the actual golden fiddle for groceries and meth in the late 90's when the peach farm went under. I just really like the story I guess."

I was like "oh. OK"

Anyway, an old homeless man is in my attic playing a spray painted fiddle

...

Edit: I talked to grandpa Jonathan. The homeless man is actually my uncle. I have night blindness in addition to clairvoyance.
