It all started a long time ago when I was still visiting an elementary school.

We had a little class mascot which should teach us to read. His name was Niko and he was a dinosaur. His fur was in a darkish green and he had a cute yellow stomach. He looked really cute. Our teacher had exactly the same dinosaur as a glove puppet.

We all liked that puppet.

One day was the last day of elementary school and our teacher said, "Because you all are really good students I will give Niko to one of you."

We were really excited and everyone hoped to get him. I knew I wouldn't get him...because I NEVER won anything.

And as expected, another person won Niko. She seemed really happy.

As everyone was about to leave, our teacher wanted us to sit down again. Suddenly she pulled out another glove puppet. It looked like a dinosaur...but really creepy!

He didn't look a thing like Niko.

His fur looked dirty, was an even darker green than Niko's fur. He had black hair and googly eyes...but one has already been ripped out of him. He had weird hands and feet, looking more like a frog than a dinosaur.

I had a strange feeling while looking at that thing. Our teacher, Mrs S, said, "This is also a Niko. He was the first mascot and now he is searching for a new home."

Nobody wanted him. But I couldn't stop staring at it. So my teacher thought I wanted it.

"Ah, Chuck, here you go."

And before I could say anything that creepy thing sat on my table, stared back at me with it's one googly eye.

When I got home, I placed the Glove Puppet on my bed and looked at it. And the more I looked at it, the more I wanted to throw it out of the window. On the one side I felt sorry for it. It looked so sad... But on the other side...

'Honey, lunch is ready!'

"Yes, mum, I'm coming!"

I grabbed the Puppet and throw it inside a box. I would think of something I could do with it later.

Years passed and I grew up to be a 18 years old teenage girl. I totally forgot about Niko...until that one day.

I was cleaning my room and opened up my closet to look for anything I didn't need anymore. When i was reaching for the top shelf the box fell down and almost hit my head.

The cover fell off and I looked at the ground. The blood froze in my veins. There he was, lying on my floor and staring at me with his one googly eye...

I bit my lower lip, kneeled down and grabbed him. I felt sorry for him. That poor little puppet has been lying in a box for like 9 years. I sighed.

But suddenly I got that strange feeling again. There HAD to be something evil about that thing. There just had to...

Days passed and the glove puppet sat on my table. I felt sick since I found him. And his googly eye wasn't looking so sad anymore. It looked angry. Yes, I was pretty sure about it: That glove puppet was angry at me!

My mother started to worry, said things like I wasn't myself and asked me if everything was okay.

But all I did was smiling at her and nodding.

Weeks passed and everything totally changed. I couldn't sleep well, had horrible nightmares every night. Dreams in which I was running from something but couldn't escape. One time that thing in my dream got me and stabbed me. It hurt and the itching pain brought me to scream. My own screaming brought me to wake up.

Sweating like hell I was trying to breathe when I felt strange. My blanket seemed so wet. When I removed it my breathing stopped. I woke up in my period...my whole bed was full of blood.

I started crying, felt so embarrassed! But then I looked at my table where Niko was...and he seemed to grin at me. A cold shiver ran down my back.

A few hours later I was walking my room up and down. I looked at Niko and tried to think of something. What should I do with that thing? Just WHAT?

And suddenly it popped up in my mind. Why didn't I try to put him on? Just for once? Maybe he'd stop haunting me in my dreams?

I gulped as I reached for him, putting him on.

"Uhm...h-hey Niko." I started.

"I am...so sorry for ignoring you the past few years. You didn't deserve it."

'You hate me!' I replied with disguised voice.

"No, no! It's not like that! I...was just scared."

'...'

"Please, Niko...I am really, really sorry. I don't dislike you."

Suddenly I hit myself with the puppet.

'YOU LYING BITCH!'

"No, stop!" I hit myself again and again. And every time I got harder.

Or...wasn't it me?

"Niko, please!" I sobbed.

I stopped hitting me and the creepy dinosaur looked at me.

'What?'

"How can I calm you down? Please...I don't want you to be angry with me..." I whispered.

'Lend me your body.'

"Yes. Yes, I will!"

'Is that so?'

"Yes." I nodded.

"But what do you need my body for?"

'Revenge.'

That was the last answer I got before my mind went totally limp.

And so came up the urban legend about a creepy, pale girl. Dark circles under her eyes, staring blankly at the ground and holding up a creepy glove puppet.

Be aware...always drink your milk, kids. And if you ever meet that girl...just run and NEVER turn around.

The last thing you'll see will be a big googly eye...
