It wasn't too long ago when my microwave was starting to go out. It would work sometimes and just go off randomly. I had to get a new one quickly because I wasn't much of a chef at the time and was living off of pizza rolls.

I didn't have much money so I ran by a family friend who owns a pawn shop. He said a microwave came in not too long ago and he would give it to me for the price he paid for it. That's when the odd events started to unfold.

I was young and liked to play music very loudly but during every song I listened to, I heard a faint noise. It sounded like a microwave. I would shut off the music and look behind me. It was odd because there was no way that it could go off without an energy source. It happened a couple more times but I ignored it. I returned back to my apartment and cleaned it. I plugged it in and started to make some pizza rolls. I looked away for one second and smelled something burning.

The pizza rolls were on fire.

I scrambled around the kitchen to find something to put it out but wound up throwing sugar on it. It made and awful mess and I spent the majority of the day cleaning my pad up. Nighttime was upon me and I was about to get some shut eye when I smelled a very distinctive smell. It smelled like a chicken pot pie.

I went into my kitchen to inspect it but came up with no explanation. I looked in the oven and the microwave and found nothing. I just assumed that my neighbor was colling a chicken pot pie outside his window or something. I shrugged it off and went to bed. At about 3 a.m. I was woken up by a loud noise that sounded like a vacuum. I sat in my room in fear because to be honest, I was scared easily. I turned on every light in the house and found the microwave to be going. The timer was set to 15 minutes and was cooking nothing. I turned it off and assumed it was electrical problems. I decided that in the morning, I would take it back and get a brand new one.

Throughout the night I was plagued by nightmares of being on fire and inside of a boiler. I would wake up with the sweats and fever like symptoms. I ran to the bathroom and threw up.

I took the microwave back to the pawn shop and never had those kinds of problems again.
