The Strange List

I came back home from bro-ing with Josh and the other bros, it was a typical normal sunny day. The sun was shining down and it brilliantly illuminated, with exuberance, the topographic shimmering nature of the iridescent walls that coalesced to make up the structure known as my house (home dwelling).

I walked into my room, ready to watch some TV and maybe play some video games, but there was a piece of paper laying down there on my bed. I walked up to it and read it.

I read it out loud. The words I spoke from the list, which was written down on the piece of paper as well, were said out loud.

The paper read:

Always remember to brush your teeth.
Always remember to sleep at night.
Always be polite to strangers.
If the UNFLUMKBPLAK monster emerges from inside your bed, recite your favorite Edgar Allen Poe(m).
Turn the TV off between the 11:42PM and 11:59 PM (Otherwise keep it on, but only on CNN)
Never question your elders.
Always remember to brush your teeth.
Ignore this entire list and do the opposite.
Ignore number 8 (this takes precedence)
Actually turn the TV off between 11:02PM - 12:02AM, but otherwise keep it on and IT MUST BE ON CNN and no other channel.
DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES READ THIS LIST OUT LOUD

OMG I realized as I realized that I was reading the entire paper out loud the ENTIRE TIME.

My "sister" emerged from around the corner and she was laughing, but it wasn't really my sister. She suddenly morphed into a text message that flung into my room and landed on the ground next to my bed.
