The White Shadows Sing

I grabbed my cellphone, which was sitting next to me for some reason.

"Hello, Bob? This is Maria, your wife. Do you remember me?"

Her voice was broken, and she was clearly in tears.

I... didn't know what to respond with. I can't remember when I last ate.

The last thing I remembered was going outside of my home, to Domino's Pizza. Then I found myself naked in the woods.

"Yeah, sweetie... I'm sorry, I left you. Don't cry now, I'm alright"

"THIS ISN'T ABOUT YOU, YOU SON OF A BITCH!"

What?

"Your 20-year-old son, Jason, do you remember him?!"

"Of course, of course I do."

"You didn't give him the milk, like I told you to! I found him collapsed on the floor, I called 911. They said he died of lack of calcium and good bones"

A sudden chill went through my body, as a spider bit my arse.

The air was becoming cold, and smelling of milk.

"Bobby, bobby you there?"

The cold crept closer, as the white shadows began to appear.

They were hiding in the trees, these... monsters

I hang up.
