The Wire-Men. Thats what we call them. My first experience with a Wire- Man was at 3:22 AM. My girlfriend and i had gone out for the night and a buddy of mine was driving us back. We stopped at the corner of Londen and Waghamen, when my girlfriend noticed something odd on the corner of the street. It was a half-broken traffic pole. I said to her, "Probably from the storm last night", trying to be reassuring. As the light turned green and our Green Subaru started to go forward, I looked back at it, and it looked at me. How did it look at me? It turned around with a quite crunching of metal, revealing more wires on the inside of the pole, but in those wires where a face. A face so faceless. It almost didn't look real. The face was behind almost all the wiring, and it was really misshapen. But the weirdest part wasn't that. It was that where the eyes should have been, there where two circular LED lights instead. They glowed a purple color but when it looked at me, they dimmed and then turned yellow. Then orange. Then a deep darkish red, which is hard to describe since it was a LED light.

I tried to get my girlfriend to look, but when she did look, the wire had covered the disgusting face back up. I never wanted to see that face again, but I did. Since my house is four blocks down, and my college only a few blocks the other way, I saw that THING daily, and each time it chilled me to the bone. Finally, after two weeks of this thing, I biked a different route to the college.

This is probably what scared me the most; when I was three blocks away from the college, I looked up. There it was. The same freaky wire face. this time, it was lodged in the back of a stop light. I wanted to scream at the top of my lungs, but since my friends could see me from there, i decided to keep it quite. When i got to my college, people started looking at me. You know what i said? i said "Guys? Really? i just biked ten blocks in five minutes. Can't a guy pant a bit?" Now i wished I had told them about those THINGS.

That night I did tell them. But not in the way they would have wanted me to. That night, I decided to confront one of them. First, I started a video chat on my phone with my friend Jason. I told him "I want to show you something, ok?". He was like "Dude its 9 o'clock...." "Its important man!" "Fine" He responded. I walked up to the pole, hit it and said "Show yourself!". It showed itself, right to my cell phone. My friend yelled in horror and shock when he saw it. Then the thing spoke to me. When it spoke it was horrible. Imagine the sound of metal on metal, grinding itself away. Now imagine that sound coming out as a voice. A deep, grinding, rusty voice. It only said one thing: "Tell Them".

Thats what I'm doing now, isn't it? Im telling them. I'm not sure who "them" is, but I guess anybody is fine. I'm not sure I should have done what it told me to because, after describing it in deep detail, I've been having nightmares about it. Not all of the Wire-Men. Just a forest of wires. And in that forest, the faces. Disfigured, glowing eyes, and the voices. The horrible sound of two words. Tell Them. Im tired now. I need to try and get some sleep. Maybe then i can figure out what to do about these things.....
