Line 1:
If you were born in the late 90s or early 2000s, there’s a great chance you might’ve heard of or watched a show called “Arthur”. It was a show on PBS Kids about an anthropomorphic aardvark, and it would show his daily life along with his family, friends, pets etc. I loved watching it when I was in elementary school, and I actually sometimes still watch the older episodes to bring back memories, considering the newer episodes from season 16 and onward have been absolute doo doo. This is because the old classic 2d animation was replaced with newer, ugly flash animation which felt very stiff. However, this show would also be the reason why I decided to move to Cincinnati, Ohio. Now you may be like “Get on with the story already!” Alright, I’ve heard you. Ok now let’s begin.

One day, I was playing Batman: Arkham OriginsAsylum on the WiiXbox One. I then heard my doorbell ringing. So I went outside to see who was there, but nobody was there. Instead, I saw a VHS tape on my doorstep. The tape read “Arthur season 4 episode 20” and there was also a note from my friend, Angelica. The note said “Joseph, what I saw from this tape was SCARY! I know you're probably gonna watch this tape like any other lost episode protagonist, but I'm begging you DON'T WATCH IT!!!”. After reading that note, I realized that I don’t have a VHS recorder. I decided to ride my tricycle down to my friend's house. My friend is obsessed with collecting old vintage films and VHS tapes from the 90s, so of course he would have a VHS. I told him about the episode, and we both gathered around in the living room. We got ourselves some monster energy drinks, some chips, and a bunch of unnecessary napkins, and put the tape in the VHS.

The episode started with the classic intro, and it brought back old childhood memories of the 90s episodes for me. But after that, the episode REALLY STARTED. Instead of the opening of the episode showing Arthur talking to the audience, it instead gets to the title card saying “D.W. Seeks Vengeance”. It starts with Arthur practicing the piano in the living room with a T.V. D.W. then walks into the living room, and says this in a German accent “Arthur, want to play Mary Moo Cow with me?”. Arthur said “Sorry D.W., I’m busy practicing piano, maybe later”. D.W. went out of the room and came back, and started to make noises with some pots. Arthur got angry and said “D.W., I’M TRYING TO PRACTICE THE FUCKING PIANO!”. He then violently pushed D.W. out of the room, and she zooms up the stairs. The next scene then cuts to D.W. crying on her bed for a couple hours. It was 2 hours of her just sitting there crying. My friend and I almost fell asleep, until D.W. stopped crying. She looked at the camera saying “Arthur, you will pay for this!”.
