I found that file at www.doomworld.com/idgames. It has been uploaded recently; the name,the time it was made,the number of maps,the bugs and the description were empty and true author of that WAD was unknown for some reason. Moreover,THIS was not rated at all. Even Bloodshedder himself didn't play it. Also,the only port comparable with the level was GZDoom. I wanted to try such wad...
 
BIG MISTAKE.
Line 13:
Anyways,after I launched the WAD,I saw standard DOOM II titlescreen only it looked more realistic. After getting a bit impressed I started the game.
 
The first level was average so far. It was supposed to be some sort of a courtyard surrounding the base. The music here was absent at all. The sky was blue. The textures put on the wall were brown and the floor was brown. I already saw some imps swarming the starting area. As I got a shotgun and killed them all,suddenly "An Imp's song" from original first DOOM (music from E1M2)E1M1 started playing. I was a bit shocked (why did music start AFTER some enemies were dead) but soon I decided to keep going.
 
The front door required a blue card,althrough it wasn't marked with DOORBLU or DOORBLU2 textures (which usually shows if you need a key (if you do,WHICH key do you need)). After a minute of running across the former battlefield I eventually found an access card. After I picked it up,I checked my automap. There were 60 monsters (12 imps were already dead). The level's name was "Station Omega".
 
I couldn't get one thing: DIE.wad was a bit creepy and then turned out normal. What the hell? Maybe this was a joke,organized by the Doomworld community...
 
Or was it?
Anyways,I advanced through the station. The concept of that map was above average and I a bit enjoyed playing it. By the way I had to collect yellow card and red skull (the latter was received when I had to go below the earth). The most of enemies were either weak imps,lost souls and demons or even weaker zombiemen,sarges and chainguners. I even found some secrets. After I opened the exit door I saw a switch. After I pulled it...
 
Anyways,I advanced through the station. The concept of that map was above average and I a bit enjoyed playing it. The level was over. I was wondering what could be next. But... The intermission screen showed me:
 
"station omega"
"STATION OMEGA"
 
What the hell? It was the same level, yet its letters were lowercase!
 
I spawned in the beginning of the first map again. But something was wrong.
 
The sky was yellow (it basically looked like sky from the fourth episode of the original DOOM game),quarter of the monsters was gone,the level name was the same. MoreoverMusic has already started playing. Howerer,the mapnumberI wasdidn't stillhear 01music from E1M1 coming into play. MusicInstead, hasI alreadyheard startedmusic playingcomposition from E1M8 (the final level of the first episode). It was themore samesad "Anthan Imp's song"creepy,however,it wasbut ait still bitunnerved distortedme. The start area was a little different as well. The rocky walls were white and the outdoor floor was changed as well (it was black). Also,there were some corpses of marines.
 
I blazed through the level again. It looked different by the way. Some of the monsters were already dead (including some of imps from the starting area),some walls and doors had different textures but at least the hidden places were still counted as secrets. The exit room wasawas a bit darker than before and exit button has been already pressed. And here was a corpse...
 
Anyways,I hit the button again and the level was over.

I still believed this was a joke. However, the intermission screen showed me:

"STATION OMEGA"
 
ARE YOU KIDDING ME? NOW THE LEVEL'S LETTERS WERE RANDOMLY CAPITALIZED!
 
As I spawned,more things have changed. First of all,the sky was now brown (like SKY1 texture from DOOM II). Also.the half of the mosters was gone and the name of the level was still "STATION OMEGA". The music was yetcompletely evendifferent. moreThis distoredtime, it was E1M5 music, which is creepy itself.
 
The rocky walls were gray and floor used brown texture. All imps from starting area were dead.
Line 49 ⟶ 51:
After that I thought this was the end. But no...
 
It threw me again into the "StationAgEmO nOiTaTs Omega". The level's name was now written backwards.
 
The sky was now red (like SKY3 texture from Final Doom: Plutonia Experiment"),only 15 monsters remained alive. Also, there was a crapload of dead,gibbed and impaled bodies of army marines and...monsters?
 
The music was now completely distorteddifferent andagain. IIt hardlywas understoodtaken itfrom stillPlaystation wasDoom oldport good(I "Anfailed Imp'sto song"remember which map had it). The outdoor walls were red and outdoor floor was red too... Everything on the automap was the same (except for number of monsters),but... There were no secrets on this level. Or, should I say, there were secret areas, yet they didn't count as such.
 
I really wanted to quit this game right now,but I couldn't. I was too fucking curious. I had to end this map again while meeting nextlittle to no resistance. And now all keys here were skulls...
 
I reached the exit room. It was extremely dark. In the middle of the room there was only pool of blood and guts. That was all what left of that dead marine who tried to escape from this madness...
 
I finished that level. I hoped I could get a reward for playing such a wierd piece of shit.
 
SoonThe intermission screen showed me:

WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK?! NOW THE LEVEL'S NAME WAS COMPLETELY ABSENT!
 
As I spawned,everything was now different and creepy. The sky was pitchdifferent blacktoo: there were rocks with a blue shade of color on them, and the sky was black, covered with stars. The music was absent,the outdoor walls were dark gray and the floor had the same texture. All monsters were missing. There was ana obvioushuge overkillamount of dead bodies. Most of them belonged to marines.
 
I was moving much slower. I still managed to grab armor and pistol from the dead marine. As I was advancing through the map,I picked up more guns,but weapons were useless. Hovewer I hoped it could protect me from something more terrible than the forces of hell.
 
I made it through the level in a state of paranoia.
 
As I entered the exit room,I stood in awe. The zone was completely dark. The exit button was still here,and that dead body was missing. I pressed the switch because I really wanted to end this. Once and for all.
 
Suddenly,platform I was standing on began to lower. Finally I found myself in the hellish dungeon. Dead silence. As I opened the door I saw the black void. Then...something began to "speak" with my character.
 
"You have made it all this way...and still remained alive and sane" - theI voice said withread a demonic tonemessage.
 
"But you will not go any further!" - itAnother loudlymessage shouted.popped My poor eardrums..up.
 
"Anyways,why do you keep trying?" - suddenlyThe thethird voicemessage askedpopped meup.
 
"Because I MUST live! Will you even leave me alone?" - I shouted at the screen.
Line 87 ⟶ 91:
I stood in awe. This wad was a damnation for humanity..
 
"But I will give you a chance to kill me and win... Which is not posible whatsoever. You are so pathetic. I should have finished you off since you found the anomaly" - answered the demon in type letters..
 
Suddenly the boss fight began. I was ableteleported to freelyunknown walkarea abovein the middle of the void. I didn't know where my enemy iswas until that demon actually appeared. It was a huge flyingcyberdemon-like monster who had some tentacles growing fromno hisrocket spinelauncher. He roared: "MEET THE DEVIL HIMSELF!"
 
A short yet epic battle ensued but I couldn'teventually defeatlost himand so demongot killed marinein andgame. Then the devil consumed histhe marine's soul. I was frightened.
 
Suddenly demon turned to me.
 
He whisperedtyped:
 
"DIE".

After I became healthy (it took for me 3 months) I bought myself a new computer and found what my account on Youtube was spammed by Rolf2840. I found a lot of messages about DIE.wad. Youtuber wanted to know about this file. As he revealed, he didn't even test that WAD in GZDoom but he was going to try this himself.
 
I was full of anger. I wrote to him: "Don't fucking play this,you jerk.dumbass! Do you even know what awaitsis awaiting you?"
 
Rolf2840 just ignored me. What aan dickidiot...
 
Later that day yound man named Gus Fuller was found dead in his own flat. He was torn apart by something.
