Spongebob Haunting

I woke up to my alarm beeping. I got out of bed and switched it off and ran downstairs to the living room; It was my 7th birthday and my presents were sitting on the table in the center of the room. I couldn't open them since my parents said that I had to wait for them and my brother to wake up first. So I went to the kitchen and poured myself a bowl of cereal and whilst I ate it, I switched on the TV in the dining area but what I saw was simply a still frame from the opening sequence of my favorite show, Spongebob Sqaurepants. I found this image creepy, so I switched off it off and ate the rest of my cereal and slowly went up to my parent's bedroom. I opened the door and found them resting on their bed. I woke my dad up and said that I couldn't wait for any longer. He woke up my mother and we came downstairs, I also heard my little brother come down a few minutes after.

I began unwrapping my first present out of the 6 I had. And it was a Spongebob Movie! I looked up but my other presents had disappeared, I asked my dad where the others had gone and he simply looked at me blankly. Since it was my only present, I quickly put it into the DVD player and began watching it. I was greeted by a menu screen with my default buttons: Play movie, chapters and extras. But I saw an extra, which wasn't in the fancy font of the others, it simply said "button 4" as if it wasn't coded correctly and when I hovered over this button, it turned into a glitchy mess of characters and symbols.

I watched the default film, which was about an hour and twenty minutes, however I was disappointed that this was my only gift, but I heard the shout of my mother calling me for a "suprise" I walked to the dining area, through the hallway in which the light was off, and when I was in here I had strange sights of Spongebob with his eyes taken out and blood oozing out of them. It wasn't very graphic since my 8-year-old brain could only think of so much.

I got to the dining room and I was greeted by my family shouting "Happy Birthday!" and a cake on the table. I sat down and my dad cut a slice for me, but the knife he used was strange; it had pieces of sponge on it and I linked it to the image of Spongebob I saw in the hallway, his eyes cut out of his face. I ate the cake regardless, a bit too much cake infact. Feeling ill I went up to bed and turned the light off.

I layed there, I could only think of Spongebob and that menu screen, it was haunting my mind when it was only an innocent DVD! However before I could think of why this was happening I fell asleep and woke up the next day, buzzed to see what that mysterious button could possibly hold inside it. So I went downstairs and turned on the DVD player, I went straight to the out of place button and pressed it... the screen went black and my light bulb flickered I went to grab a pillow to hide behind but something deep in my head stopped me. I just stared into the dark screen, until I heard Spongebob laugh and that image I thought of the other day came back to me and took place on the screen, but I could tell It wasn't really there since It was a vague picture. I looked for the remote to turn it off, but the actual picture of Spongebob appeared. Gruesome as ever with his eyes bleeding and a large smile on his face apart from he didn't have any teeth in this picture. The TV and DVD turned off at this moment and I felt myself with a headache. I went upstairs to my bedroom to play with my LEGO Spongebob Krusty Crab playset. It was there, in a normal manner. But when I opened the top up to play inside it had looked like the place had been masaccered, dead customers everywhere, aswell as Mr. Crabs at the backroom, his head had been mangled by the safe door and when I looked back into the main diner area I simply saw the Spongebob figure, just like the one I saw early I took the set apart but when I was finished, the brutally killed figures had disapeared and Spongebob was clean and looking normal. After this, I went to sleep.
