When I woke up, I |
When I woke up, I would've never guessed that it was the day my life would change forever. I looked out of my window like I always did when I woke up. Immediately, I noticed something off. There was a skinny tree sticking straight up from the ground. Yet the oddest thing about it was the lack of life. There was no bark or leaves. I knew I had to cut it down eventually or it would be a constant eyesore, so I decided after writing class that I'd chop it down. I was planning on leaving at 12:00; not for any wacko schedule reasons, but there's the teacher that I sort of had a high school crush on teaching at that time. To tell the truth, I took the whole class just to see her. After I'd eaten breakfast and thrown on some clothes, I drove my run-down truck to the complex where the class was held. |

When I navigated the labyrinth of halls, I stumbled through the door and, to my surprise, almost no one had shown up yet. I decided to have a quick chat with Marrisa (the teacher) and I was astonished that she asked me out to dinner later. It literally exploded the axes blade and the tree was still nothing but a sprout. I shrugged off the experience and decided that I'd use my employee discount at the Home Depot, which could change the price of an item like a chainsaw from $50 to $5. If I bought it I'd either have to skip my dinner date with Marrisa, or wait till the next day. I chose the latter, obviously. Work was pretty boring as usual, so I hurried home only to find that the tree had grown to the size of a 10 year old oak. I decided that I'd deal with it later and quickly took a shower and threw on my best clothes. |

As soon as I saw her walk out of her door, I knew it'd be a disaster. She clearly didn't seem to think of it as a date. She was wearing skinny jeans and a sweater. The dinner was uneventful besides a passerby spilling bleach on my good suit. I'm feeling depressed I think I'll sit back for the rest of the week. |

The next day I only brought myself out of bed to try to cut the tree down which now seemed like it was similar to the size of an adult redwood. I still haven't changed out of my suit, though. |

Today, a man in a dark cloak approached me and told me he needed to start "The Cleansing." He then pulled a sharp blade and slashed my chest. Thinking quickly, I grabbed the pen from my pocket and repeatedly stabbed his neck. I then passed out from shock of what had just happened. |
