Line 1:
It was evening in Kyoto, Japan. This warm, summer night was strangely perfect. Too perfect…perfect... The temple's braziers were lit with flames of scarlet and gold. Yes, this night was truly serene, except for one thing: the evil presence here which seemed almost satanic in a way. The monks here would later find that this feeling was more than just a feeling.
 
I was taking a late-night stroll through the town, and noticed a shiny object out of the corner of my eye. I turned to face it, and it was a katana, a japanese sword used by samurai warriors in an age long forgotten. This one was about 3 feet in length and it's sheath was missing. The hilt was ornately decorated. "Who would leave this beautiful work of art in the middle of a city without its sheath?", I thought as I picked up the sword.
