He said that anyone who has ever gone into those woods late at night werewas hunted down and killed by the Slenderman. I, of course, thought it was a load of bullshit, but my friend's belief in the paranormal remained unfettered.

So one day, I bet my friend five-hundred dollars that I could spend an entire night in the woods without being killed. He was reluctant to accept the bet at first (after all, you'd have to be kind of an asshole to ''want'' to send your best friend to his death for the sake of money), but I was eventually able to convince him.
