He stared at a flickering light for about twelve seconds before picking up the phone and shouting "Do you know who your dealing with?". After a slight visual gag intended to make you laugh, a horrific face pops up on screen and screams. The positions of the clips may have been intentional as laughing would normally cause a loss of awareness as well as concentration, leaving you vulnerable to such a thing.
