There is something, somewhere, hidden deep within the depths of the Internet. That thing is a download link.
If you come across it, do NOT download it. Leave the website, and delete your browsing history as soon as possible. But, if you are as stupid as I was, here’s what will happen if you do download it.
It will download a zipped folder onto your desktop, known as, ‘gawrhgelgefjshlrsjgltrh.’ Taking the fifth letter, tenth, fifteenth, and twentieth letter from that name will spell hell. Inside, it will contain three things, a video, a text document, and, if you’re lucky, another text document.
WATCH. THE VIDEO. FIRST. I cannot stress this enough. If you do not follow exactly what I say, you may end up with similar demise as mine. The video is called ‘hithere.mp4,’ and is 1 minute, 57 seconds long. Once it starts playing, a black screen will appear. In this time, do not look away. After a few seconds, it will cut to a man with a camera in the forest running. From what? I haven’t the slightest. But from the sounds it was making while chasing the man, it wasn’t a creature from our world.
The man will continue to run until the 90-second mark. At that point, the man will trip and fall, dropping the camera, which is now pointing at him. You now see that the man is in his mid twenties, scruffy face, black hair. After he trips, the creature pounces at him, and then starts gnawing at his skull.
Again, do NOT look away, do not turn around. If you feel the need to vomit, go ahead. But do NOT. NOT, NOT, NOT. Look away. The creature will continue to eat at the man, until the last ten seconds, when it pounces at the camera, then cutting to static.
Close the video player, and open the first text document in the folder. It shouldn’t have a name, in should only have one word in it. ‘Well?’
At this point, you’re pretty much screwed, but I’ll help to make your death less painful. Write, in the next line under it, that you really liked the video. Now, open the second document. It should say ‘Thank you! I had fun doing it.’
Close all the text documents, and refresh the folder. There should be another video there, hithere2.mp4. Double click on it.
It will be a black screen running for an infinite amount of time. At any point, close your laptop. If you’re not on a laptop, turn off your desktop and turn around.
Closing the laptop will show the same camera from the video.
Turning around after turning off the computer will show the demon, then turning back around will show the camera.
What was the mistake I made?
I turned around.
