Line 33:
It’s been about four months like I stated earlier since, after the first two weeks the games returned to normal and no longer brought me to the void where Pandora would confront me (Though admittedly I didn’t play for two weeks a little afraid of Pandora reappearing). I never figured out why the game did what it did but when I was reading a Greek mythology book looking for an interesting name for a character I was designing for a comic when I stumbled upon the story of Pandora’s box. I was shocked to read it and I think I understand it now: Prome was supposed to be Prometheus, a god who stole fire and gave it to man and his punishment from Zeus was to be a living statue that an eagle would come by and eat his liver every day since the liver always grew back (Which explained the feathers around Prome when he died), Pandora was the first woman on earth and that makes sense since she was the first dog in that game I meant, and in the bottom of a box Pandora opened was ? Elpis the spirit of hope. Hope had been the last dog and the smallest out of the three dogs. This could also explain why Pandora attacked the music box when I got it, since Pandora’s actions were caused by her opening the box given to her. I feel somewhat bad now for what I did but I suppose I did it out of fear I also found out that the owner of my apartment complex used to have a golden retriever but when he moved from his hometown the dog had been left behind with a friend since he wasn’t able to continue to take care of it. I wonder…was Pandora the spirit of the owner’s dog trying to reach to the owner or was it Pandora from the story?
