Line 3:
I was taking a late-night stroll through the town, and noticed a shiny object out of the corner of my eye. I turned to face it, and it was a katana, a japanese sword used by samurai warriors in an age long forgotten. This one was about 3 feet in length and it’s sheath was missing. The hilt was ornately decorated. Who would leave this beautiful work of art in the middle of a city without its sheath?, I thought as I picked up the sword.
I turned around to face the voice, katana in hand, but nobody was there.
I glanced at the blade. The katana seemed to be talking, almost as if it was sentient.
I must be going insane, I thought. I decided to ignore the blade’s request. I took the blade home with me, and later that night, the blade spoke once more.
Holy crap, I thought as I glanced in the direction of the blade. This sword is talking to me. Blue flames enveloped the sword and it said:
The blade, seeming to defy gravity, levitated up.
The room got cold. Really cold. Frost quickly grew on everything, until it bursted into blue flames. The sword was now completely covered in these blue flames.
It took 3 days for the house to stop burning. There were no corpses found. The sword is still at large, hunting for its sheath, and burning anything in its path.
