Hello, my name is Owen. I am a Meowstic from Unova, and I am a fan, although not really a big fan, of the Simpsons. I own a few Simpsons DVDs, VHS tapes, books, comics, etc. I also enjoyed "The Simpsons Movie," one of my favorite movies. However, I recently came across an "uncut and extended" version of the film on DVD.

One day at an antique mall, I was looking for DVDs, particularly those of Pokémon, SpongeBob SquarePants, and of course, The Simpsons. Then, I noticed…noticed... The extended Simpsons Movie.

The front of the DVD case simply just said, "Simpsons Movie Uncut Edition," the spine said, "Simpsons Movie," and the back consisted of the following: "Includes: Deleted scenes, tons of fun, alternate ending."

"Alternate ending?" I said to myself, as I unfolded an ear out of confusion. The price was ₽100 (Pokémon dollars), and I brought it up to a cashier. "Hey, I'd like to buy this DVD, please," I said to the cashier.

The cashier looked a little shocked. "Are you sure you want to buy this? From what I heard, the person who owned this…this... Ah, never mind," she said. I gave her ₽100, and the cashier pat my head and said, "Have a nice day!"

One thing I noticed was that there were a few seconds missing during the 20th Century Fox logo, and I realized it was a scanned 35mm print of the movie. Of course, there were scratches, a few splices, dust, and cue marks. One thing that was strange was that there were a few burned frames every now and then, but that didn't stop me from enjoying the movie, and with the deleted scenes no less!

It was fun…fun... Until the end of the movie.

The first thing I noticed that was off was that the scene where Homer and Bart jump the Gorge didn't go as planned. When Bart throws the bomb through the dome's hole, he completely misses, and it lands right back into Springfield. Homer then gets pissed at Bart, strangling him as he said, "Why you little...!"
