Why People Like To Say Potato

Potatoes are simply a good food with a dumb sounding name. I mean, why else would you randomly say something in an attempt to be funny? If potatoes didn't exist, people would use something else. Besides, have you seen how many potato based pastas there are on this site? Jeff the Potato and the like.
