Diary of a Wimpy Kid is still an old family treasure in my family and in my mind it's the only book series for children that has any actual merit to children, even after a certain incident with the series had occurred with me. In some way, it was like that Three Stooges creepypasta where someone who was supposed to watch Half Wits Holiday in a shopping centre cinema, but ended up seeing a screening of some short film with a low budget, with three actors pretending to be the stooges, all dying except for the autistic guy playing Curly. Only for me, this incident was much more than that. It almost makes me sick when it pops into my head every now and again.
About a year after the release of the third Wimpy Kid film, it came out on DVD. Being huge fans of the series, we begged our Maths teacher to put it on on the last day of school. He didn't have the dvd because he didn't have any kids himself, so he decided to go online and look for it himself just to shut us up. He found it on some foreign website in Turkey, which had a desktop background that looked almost professional enough for his stamp of approval. He clicked on the video file to play it, we were expecting Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days, but what we got, was just a 15 minute video of a scrony kid with a red Mega Death t shirt and brown shorts, with no socks or shoes, sitting in his dimmly lit bedroom, talking about his problems, progressively getting more upset, to the point of tears. Before eventually cutting to a body of him on the floor, with his stomach cut open, intestines all over the place, etc.
The whole time we were watching the fucking thing, the Maths teacher was struggling to click out of the website as the only response the laptop was giving him was "Google Chrome is not responding", it was not really a good day for any of us as we just sat there, in shock at what we saw.
Even though I was sick to my stomach after what had happened, I wanted to find out more about the boy in that video and why he was even there in the first place, and when I described it to some acquaintances I knew in my estate, they told me that what I saw was a snuff film of a kid from Arizona named Frank Anderson, murdered off camera, with the video being recorded sometime in 2004. Frank was 15 years old when he was killed in that film, and the reason why he was killed remains in circulation today, some say that it was because his mother had an argument with a cashier at a local Denny's over a fly in her coffee and that she threw the coffee at the cashier, prompting him/her to follow them home, kill the mom, and take Frank hostage with a SIG Sauer P226, forcing him to make the video, leading to the stabbing. Others say that Frank was suffering some a severe mental illness, brought on by home sickness, hence why he was progressively getting sadder as he kept the camera running, cutting to someone having to edit the video so that no one would see him stab himself.
The reason why a lot of theories had circulated in the first place was because Frank's death was never documented or talked about on the news, so it lead to a lot of people leaning on the theory that he had killed himself over his mental illness as in the early 2000s, mental health was never really a subject for debate like it is now. That one website that was supposed to have a video file of Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days, instead of the video we saw, is the only website that presumably had that video of Frank's death. I haven't been on that website myself as I don't want to watch that video again, EVER, mind you. But I thought I'd share it with you because it would probably be interesting for some people.
