If you play Fortnite at 3:00 a.m., there is a small chance that a glitch can happen that will render your game completely unusable, and scare the crap out of you in the process. Below is a story of how this happened to me, and a warning not to try this 3:00 a.m. challenge.

I had been playing Fortnite with my friends at 3:00 in the morning. This was during fortnitemares 2022 (chapter 3 season 4), and we wanted to screw around and see if something would happen. Obviously we didn't think anything would, which made this incident even scarier.

My friends had to go to bed, so I was left alone in the lobby. I decided to play some solos, just for fun. When I loaded into the match, I was the only one there. I sprinted around the spawn island, hoping to see someone, but alas, there was nobody. I saw the message pop up that the battle bus was going to take off in 10 seconds, so I shrugged it off and got ready to play the match.

When I was on the bus, I saw that the player amount went up to 100. But all the players usernames were just the number 666. I decided to go to grim gables, and dropped off.

The first thing I noticed was the dead silence. My glider didn't make a sound, nor did my skydiving. I went into the house, and ran upstairs. Now that I had landed, there were two things that I could hear: my footsteps, and a strange, quiet glitching sound. I also noticed that there was no loot anywhere. I looked out the window, and saw some other players... but they were all in some creepy skin and they weren't fighting each other.

I went into the attic, and saw some strange, glitchy, red skin with a creepy smile. The glitching sound was deafening now, and I couldn't hear anything else. It looked right at me, and started approaching.

I ran away and went into the mines\basement, and hid on an upper platform. I also didn't see the inquisitor anywhere, which meant either someone had killed it, or it had dropped off the face of the island. I heard the static again, and saw it come into the basement. It looked around, going into certain shafts and then leaving, obviously looking for me. Than, it looked up and saw me.

It started walking up the air towards me, and when it reached me my screen went red. I could see my character, completely black, being torn apart. Then, after all the gore was gone, a glitched message appeared on my screen. I'm using the letters on my phone to form it, so it isn't exact.

I didn't bother to decipher it, so I tried to join the game again. A new message appeared, saying:

! w@®π€d y0u.

The static started playing out of every speaker in my room, and I uninstalled the game. The final message appeared, saying:

g00d ¢h0!©£ °

I've never even tried to play the game again, because it would know.

TL/DR: never play Fortnite at 3:00 am.
