AVGN - ET Atari 2600 (Vandalized Version)
Uploader's note: This is a vandalized version of the AVGN - ET Atari 2600 creepypasta that was uploaded on a now-defunct forum sometime in April 2013.
There's not much of a story here, but I feel compelled to type this anyway. I was looking around on YouTube to see if the AVGN (The Angry Video Game Nerd, if you're not familiar with him) had made any new episodes.
The only one on the "JamesNintendoNerd" channel was "Ghosts N Goblins" (For whatever reason lately he's been releasing brand new ones on YouTube as opposed to usually releasing them on Gametrailers) but anyway I watched it. It was the same kind of funny madness you'd expect to see in a nerd episode, not perfect, but considering that he was working on Monster Madness and putting together footage for the AVGN movie trailer and doing other numerous projects, I'm not complaining; I was just happy to see a new AVGN episode again. I was going to type a comment on the video when I saw a person's username entitled "JamesNNintendoNerd", I'm guessing the double N in there was since the original name was taken. The comment read "ET" and that was all, so I clicked on the name out of curiosity. It took me to a channel much like James' channel. There was one video named "AVGN - ET ATARI 2600". The video had zero views and had been uploaded today. I kinda laughed at myself because it kind of reflected James' decline in popularity but I watched it just to be the first viewer.
I really wish I hadn't have done that...
What happened next made me regret ever, ever watching the AVGN. First off, there wasn't any kind of theme song whatsoever. No Kyle Justin, no "he's gonna take you back to the past" - none of that. The video just started showing James looking at the camera sadly, and not like that cheesey sad look he usually gives, but really sad. "You all asked for it.", he said with a frown. Not the traditional mad frown, not the cheesey frown, a depressed frown. "You sick pieces of filth", he continued again with a frown. I was shocked hearing him say that to his audience not in a funny way, but just in an angry New Jersey accent. He then pulled out the E.T. cart from its box. The camera cut to him putting the game into the Atari, which was the only kind of editing I saw remotely in the episode.
The game started up without him even turning the system on, and he started to play. Pretty freaky. As he was playing, I swore I could hear a slight sobbing in the background. I just kinda assumed it was Kyle Justin doing a skit or Mike Matei being angry about Elmo. It was like he hated the game on a very personal level. For a split second a picture flashed on my computer screen. It was of the nerd bent over with a lot of tears rolling down I guess his face but I couldn't really see it. I quickly pushed print screen just to show it to my friends. I still have the pic and I'll show it when I get off my lazy ass to post this. Anyway, James only played the game for about a minute before turning the camera towards himself. He had tears in his eyes, not like he was bawling, but enough that you'd notice it on his face. He held up the camera and began walking around his game room like as if we were in an episode of COPS. He then found a hammer (Very similar to the one in the Nintendo World Championships episode) and started to break every single one of his systems and games. It didn't matter which one even the great games like Punch Out, Metroid, Zelda, Zelda 2, Mario 3, Ninja Gaiden, Bubble Bobble, DuckTales, Contra, Super C, Castlevania, Adventure Island, Batman, Batman: Return of the Joker, R.C. Pro-Am, Darkwing Duck, Bionic Commando, River City Ransom, Dr. Mario, Battle Toads, Mega Man, Mega Man 2, Mega Man 3, Mega Man 4, Mega Man 5, Mega Man 6, Kirby's Adve-
"BANG BANG BANG YOU PIECE OF FUCKING SHIT I WISH I'D NEVER PLAYED YOU. YOU'RE A PIECE OF FUCKING CRAP. YOU'RE A PIECE OF DIARRHEA FILTH!"
All of this while somebody else was quietly singing his theme song in the background. After painfully watching him do this, just think of all the money he wasted and all the memories thrown away, he went over to his NES that he had ever since he was a child and he took a shit all over it. He bent down, he put his hands in his own feces and he started smearing it all over the NES. I was almost about to leave the page at this point because I really didn't want to look at anyone's fecal matter. I saw him pick up a gun. It was a real gun, not an NES zapper or anything but an actual gun like an assault rifle. He cocked it, he put to his head, he turned the camera towards him, whispered "I'm done with this shit", and shot himself. Both James and the camera fell to the ground, and that's where the video ended.
I was shocked by what I had seen and I quickly left the channel just as quickly as possible I was smacking my keyboard around and my mouse flew off my desk and out the window and into my neighbor's asshole we had to spend the whole morning getting a mouse out of a 45 year old man's ass and it fucking stunk the fire department and several technicians said it was beyond repair so my computer was unusable for the next two days and because it was left on for too long it exploded engulfing the entire house on fire and leaving my family homeless please help me the government is threatening to take my cardboard box away
