A Biid for Beauty
My daughter, Rebecca, finds herself lost in the euphoria of a great day dream as she lies patiently on her hospital bed. Today is the day where all of her dreams come true. No longer will she look at all the beautiful people with envy and crazed jealousy. She has finally made the choice to look like them and she couldn’t be more pleased.
She will finally be able to enjoy the perks of being one of the few beautiful people in the world. First she will get a new ride and then she will get all the best seats at all the best games, concerts and other wonderful social events. People will stare at her as she cruises around the neighborhood and they will vie for her attention, offer assistance and give charity whenever they get the chance. Even though the people around her disagreed, she and I both knew this was the life she was born to live.
Rebecca has known for many years that the only thing holding her back was her perfectly normal left leg. Today, at the age of 19, she will B.I.I.D. Farewell to it and all of her dreams will come true. I couldn’t be happier for my baby!
