A Fool's Poem
I venture fourth told to go back but I don't.
I welcome fear like a common joke.
I'm a fool you see and I don't care what happens to me.
Ignoring everyone that cares about me.
Even though I'm told that no one's survives smugglers cove.
I venture fourth with my flashlight and the other hand my four-four.
I hear a sound that startles me like a snake.
I stop in my tracks like I just saw the rake.
I hear a sound of soft weeping.
I turn around and see a creature in the corner.
I have a chance to run and make my escape.
But before I could move I was a goner.
She dug her teeth into me and I slowly became a memory.
Of the fool that went to smugglers cove and never came back.
Why didn't I leave when I had the chance?
I should have listened to my friends.
When they told me no.
But, I had to be a fool and I had to go.
Now I'm dead in Smugglers cove.
With my last words being No!
