De4th.ocx
I used to have a desire for video game programming, I even had a small video game company for PC games. One day, I needed a tool to recover a corrupted file for a game I had been working on for three months. So I looked up a tool, oddly on Google, I only found one result: GameFixer2000. I decided to get it on my other computer, in case it was a virus. After I downloaded it and tried to run it, it said de4th.ocx was missing from System32, to download it from the website. I didn't really notice it was de4th.ocx, I was tired at the time.
When it was finished, I put it in the System32 folder and registered it. Then I ran it, a poorly looking window popped up saying browse and fix, so I moved the game to the computer and it loaded the game, as if the pallets where changed to red.
I did a few secrets I added to teleport to stages, all that was wrong was the red pallet change, I can fix that in a day though, I then decided to go to bed. The next day I woke up, and oddly, my company was closed, nobody had gotten to work. I checked and nobody was there. So I went back to the computer change pallets, as well transferred the correct game to my main computer.
Half way finished, still nobody at work, an old man tapped his key at the door a few times. I went to answer it and he asked "Is this component computer games?", I replied yes, and he said "Can I come in for a moment?" Letting him in was a big mistake, he saw my red pallets and stuff, he asked, de4th.ocx? I was like wait, what? And I checked the de4th.ocx file and that's when I realized... the old man was gone.
Quickly doing a system restore and deleting all the files I made, one of my employees finally got to work, for his shift. He saw the red pallets right before I closed everything and he said "death.ocx? you can't get rid of that." in a devilish voice, I turned my head to see... he was the old man.
I turned my head to quickly call the police, I turned it back and he was gone. I still called the police anyway. When they arrived i went in the other office to see all of my employees dead. Then when the police arrived an officer said why are you calling about yourself? I then looked in the mirror to see... I was the old man.
