Def Jam Fight for NY: The Cursed Bootleg

Ok, I'm here to tell my experience with that damn game that I wish to never see it again.

I was on my free time walking around the streets until I saw a local games store. I remembered about my PS2 and the old times playing with my friends.

I used to like fighting games a lot (like Tekken 4, Bully, The Warriors and finally the best, Def Jam Fight for NY). So I decided to enter on the store and look for some games. As I said before, Def Jam was one of my favorite games. Then I asked to the owner if he had the CD. He told me to wait for a second.

With nothing better to do, I decided to wait. Five minutes later another guy with blue eyes and long hair came, with the CD that I ordered somehow he looked happy about i having bought the game.

When I came back to my house, I plugged the PS2 on and opened the cover of the game. But one thing was weird...

The CD was scratched at the back and I said to myself, "Damnit that guy sold me a used game!" but I got that thing inside the console and pressed [POWER].

A few minutes later, I finally decided to put the CD on the video game and for my surprise... the CD worked. The logos "EA Games Challenge Everything and the THX" appeared normally. But the Intro with Crow (Snoop Dogg) and D-Mob bringing their homies for a fight didn't appear.

It has skipped to the press start screen. Everything was really weird.

The menu screen has no music and the only thing available to choose was "Story". I think this is because the CD's condition. Without many options I chose Story and created my own fighter, and when I tried to put a name on him, it automatically changed to "Victim". The cutscene with D-Mob getting arrested and bringing you to his hideout didn't appear as well.

The game skipped right to the crib, and there was a message from D-Mob waiting. The message's text was in binary... it went like this:

I tried to decode the binary to text and the meaning of the message is:

Get all your hope lost. Because everything ends here.

In the crib, the only thing available is the map. The only place to choose is Foundation. Instead of the first fighters (Trick, Bo, Nyne and O.E.), there was only one: Method Man as Blaze. He looked really creepy and zombified. I was getting reluctant to go on. But something is telling to me keep moving.

As I fought him, I did so much less damage than him,and his damage was horribly high! After all the fighting he got himself into blaze mode but his scream was so strange and demonic like, and instead of "Blaze" on the blaze bar there was written "Hell", with bloody and fiery letters

When he grabbed my character strange things started to appear, his blaze move was different, first he came to my character and broke his arms letting him useless in a fight, and the crowd loved it, my character screamed in terror but it was useless...

Blaze started ripping my character eyes off,and then the crowd loved it even more they were all like Blaze,and after a really gory beat down, he grabbed my character by the head and started pressing it, he pressed it so much my character head exploded.

Then I saw images off my character on the ground all destroyed, and Blaze was there violently laughing then he said, "That's what you like right,violence,blood and suffering...my time is over."

He started burning down and screamed in pain and horror, the crowd started eating my corpse and other people where being eaten as well Screams,gore and blood everywhere, I was so scared, so I turned it off, grabbed the CD and smashed it, however.

The next day I woke up and the CD was in my console again. Crow was on the screen and he said, "Come on kid you know you want more right?" I couldn't believe it...so I tried to smash it again, burn and even cut it, but nothing worked.

So I tried to give the game back to the store and get my money back, but the store was closed, why? Well I asked the dude that was closing the store, and then he said that the clerk's son had killed him in a very gory way.

Then the creep put himself on fire. I got pale it was just like the game had shown, but I got even more scared when the dude said that the police had found a note written:

"Someone will soon be JUST LIKE ME!"

I had no choice I headed back home and then i tried to play the game, and somehow I thought I could end this madness once and for all...

And then a strange figure appeared in a hood and said in a calmly voice.

"Play it, your true self desires it and you know it..."

I started playing it again, because I was scared of what could happen,that was a stupid mistake...

My Victim was now just like my father.... And after gory images of my character killing everybody, another fight started now against Crow or so I guessed, when Crow appeared on screen he was all ripped and he was dead... and so I started thinking who could have done it?

Then I saw it was the "Suspect" but he finally showed his face the killer of crow...was me!

Then somehow D-mob got me a message it was...You will make your choice now.....

I did not understand, but as I started fighting something happened. When I punched my opponent (Myself) I felt pain so I tried to turn it off, but it didn't work. I tried everything, but it wasn't' working, so I decided to let it be over by itself.

But then my mother called....She said my Father was missing, but he called and said he was feeling pain and felt like dying, I saw that the Victim life bar was almost at its end, I turned off the phone and started fighting, even if I was feeling pain I would never let my father die, unfortunately... I could not win.

The Victim got a kick in the chest and it got KO'ed... My mother called again and she said they found my father.... dead apparently it was a heart attack, she told me the strange fact is that he had a footmark on the chest.

the police investigated it and the footmark matched one of my shoes,the bruises on his body matched my hands and he was found close to my house.I was the only Suspect...

I was arrested...

I lost my dignity, my family, my freedom.

When got to the jail I found him. The guy who sold me the game, on the my cell and he said on an ironic tone.

"Did you and your father enjoy the game?"

Then he let out a scream so high pitched that my ears bleeded...

I blinked and he was gone.

I wasn't better than that creep that killed his father.

That was the moment I knew.

My father was dead.

And I was responsible.

I killed my father......
