Dream Demons

Ever since I was little, I have had nightmares in which these evil beings would come for me. I even had one chewing on me at one time that had a red face with black spots on it.

The first demon I encountered was a vampire like being. I got lucky and was able to wake up and leave before he found me. However it was the second time I encountered Dream Demons that really traumatized me. I was taking a nap in the evening, when I found myself in a dream state.

I woke up in my bed and I heard music playing on my computer, and it wasn't good. It told me to go and lock the front and back doors. I ran to the front and saw a demon dressed in white standing next to the tree next to the highway.

I closed it, and locked it, running towards the back door, when the King Dream Demon showed up. He was yellow and black, and had black mossy like hair. In his hand was a chainsaw. He beat me to the back door and came in.

I stumbled back, running to the kitchen, in the corner, when it killed my mom and dad, then coming for me. Before it came to me, I somehow transported myself to my uncle's room, from where I woke up, my mind still caught between this world and in the other.

But attacking isn't their scariest attribute. It's their ability to suck you back into your nightmare. I had woke up from a terrible dream one night, and tried to stay awake, but soon felt something sucking me back into the dream.

I saw flashes of my nightmare, and I struggled and fought hard not to be pulled back into that mess.

I was able to break free. Dream Demons presence are strongest at night and you can sense them watching you, waiting with glee for you to go to sleep in the hallway's or in the bathroom. They're the reason you throw the cover over your entire body and hope they don't know your there.

They are turned on by fear, so if you go to bed after watching something scary, you are risking your sanity and possibly your life. There are cases of people dying in their sleep due to nightmares, and it is what inspired Freddy Krueger. So far, I haven't had any encounters... and I hope it stays that way. I can't afford to be dealing with these bastards.
