Fantendo Lost Page
I used to go on Fantendo and look at one of the most awesome fan games. I used to love the artwork, but I didn't mind all the other stuff. I don't think I ever read, a game with a real download before. It started on a crappy day. I was just looking at a fan made "Five Nights at Freddys 3 page", just to say " :P the game is already out!". Then there was a page called, "Luigi mansion 64". I knew a page of a Mature version of Luigi's Mansion called "Luigi's Mansion 64". But what's different was the name. I looked at the page. There was no infoboxes, no gameplay details. Only a download link. I clicked it and scanned it with my virus scanner. It said it was safe. I clicked on the game and a window popped up. the game was Super Mario 64! I was very excited. I plugged in my n64 controller and pressed start.
Then the select screen appears. These were the files

I decided to delete the file and when I did, It will start bugging up. There was faces of that same Mario Head at screen. However the head's face was bugged and had a face in one of his eye sockets. I just thought that it was a glitch and ignored it. However I decided to click the corrupted file anyway. Then the game crashed. I figured out the reason of the game crashing is because I have Windows 8. I was very happy to find the answer. I went to my desktop computer, (thankfully has windows 7) and played the game again. The game started great! I went to talk to the first Toad in the game. And his MSG Box said, "When you reach the top of star, you can win to be careful". I thought it only worked on lower versions. Other than that it played fine. I went to go to the first painting. The game just froze for 10 seconds. Then it took me to a room without any textures. I walked in, and I went through a painting. The game took me to the first Bowser level. There was some differences. The cave was textured with black ink and white ink, dripping from the wall. The goombas just ran away from me. And oddly enough they couldn't attack me. I started walking to a sad crying goombas. The cry was the same cry I heard in one of the Banjo Kazooie games, like when someone sad or something. The music changed really slow to the Banjo Tooie Spiral Mountain theme. I also thought, These games came out before SM64. Anyway, I jumped on the goomba. He was flat and also bleeding. I was shocked to see this in a E rated game. I mean you can use blood sometimes, but this blood was a huge pile. The drips from the cave, also turned red and started corrupting every texture in the game and the music changed to the Happy Mask Salesman theme from the Zelda games, but much slower and was 8 bit. The game just lagged then the screen faded to white and I was at the Bowser Boss room. Instead of seeing Bowser, I saw Luigi! Yes Luigi! The green plumber we all know and love. He waved his arm hello...Then Mario went up to Luigi and he just about to hug him back...Then he threw him into the pit. The pit was a bunch of clouds. Luigi fell into it and fell into it. I was began crying for about a minute. Then a went to just calm down and splash water on my face. I felt better now...Until I went back to the game. And it showed me the ending. Something like thank you in the real SM64. Though instead of Mario it was Yoshi, that looked nothing like the Mario Games. And no Peach. Then a Razor Sharp teethed Yoshi Lunged at the screen, and the screen left a scratch. Not just fake scratches, I mean real scratches! I tried pressing the start menu, but It didn't work. I tried ctrl alt del. The computer... just stopped. Everything like the screaming Yoshi was frozen. Then for a split second a red screen, of the blue screen of death appeared. Then...It just shut down.
I tried to turn the computer back on. Everything on my computer was deleted. It was like I got a new one. The only thing was my computer's username, the password. And all the other passwords to the other websites. I even got my homepage, etc. All the stuff I downloaded and folders created, was deleted. Except for one game. Before I played it again I thought... Who would create this? Nintendo? Some sick person? Or...A Hacker. I clicked the game again. This time the corrupted Mario file on the select screen couldn't be selected. I was also horrified to see what was in the file. It was Mario's face...With no nose or eyes. There was green liquid coming out those eyes. I choose the 17 stars one. Then it took me back to the level I wanted to play. It was the Final Bowser Stage. Though some things:
- That amazing music was gone.
- So was every sprite.
- Luigi
It didn't scare me though. I thought it was a glitch. What did scare me, was Luigi. He wasn't a color code, that Toad's Tool 64 hack. He looked like the same Luigi from the First Bowser Battle. I played the stage and enter the pipe, where you are supposed to beat... Bowser? I saw a pink blob. The blob had legs with very sharp nails, and seemed to be running away from me. Luigi walked up, like a cutscene. And he put has hand on it. The screen just turned white. Then Black for 10 seconds later. Then the game took me back the menu. That was weird. I choose the 999 stars file. The game spits me back. I chose the 0 stars menu, and this time I got something amazing. The game booted up to the screen where the Big/Small Island was. There was no enemies. There was the sound of a waterfall. I felt...Relaxed. I played through entire the level to go to the top of the mountain. I got inside and expected to fight the Wiggler. The Wiggler looked sad. And it was strange because the Wiggler didn't even had a mouth in the real game's model. He then said..."My...God...Look what you done." He was trying to run away from Mario. The Peaceful music came back. I didn't want to kill the poor little Wiggler...But Mario did it himself. I pressed every button on my N64 controller. I even tried it on my keyboard. I got a sticky keys error. It was strange because I wasn't even pressing the shift button so many times or stuff like that etc. I heard a cry from a mouse. I thought it was from the game...But the more I heard it...The Mario I thought...The sound was behind me. Mario then got a knife and chopped off all of the round parts of the harmless creature. Mario then took the face of the Wiggler still with his eyes open, and put it on like something in the FNAF games. Then for a split second I swear a heard a scream. Then the screen went to blue for 10 second. Then The game crashed and I heard a boing noise. The TV was on the News. I turned it on and heard the news. They said something like "Some man plays a E rated scary, bloody game that could have made it M rated.". It was interesting because, the fan made game, Luigi's Mansion 64 had blood, Nudity etc. (Didn't know why). Then the News people got a knife from a pocket and stabbed it. Thankfully it was censored but still. I deleted the game on my computer and emptied the recycle bin (the place where there is the files you "deleted"). I just said "My God".
