Forever Fretful Minecraftian

One day I was in my Minecraft world and saw that my house needed something. It needed to be scarier, as that was the look I was going for, so I set out to find pumpkins for jack-o-lanterns.

After hours of searching, getting lost, and whatnot I found them. Eight or so pumpkins with their terrified faces. So I collected them and went home. I made the jack-o-lanterns and placed one before I realized that I needed more cobblestone for my house. I went to my caves and then got distracted by a vein of iron then lapis, and coal and kept going until, BAM, diamonds. I collected them blissfully unaware of what was behind me. Then the noise that always gets a negative response in Minecraft was sounded off right behind me, ssssss BOOM! And so I went back down to my cave to get what was rightfully mine, but the creeper explosion opened up into a lava pit that I was on top of. As my grieving process consist of I swore under my breath and restarted the world out of anger.

When it was restarting though I noticed it was taking longer than usual to load. When it finished the fretful friend I made was right there. A glowing jack-o-lantern had spawned in front of me. Thinking it was a glitch I called my brother from the other room to show him, proud as though I did it on purpose. He told me to restart again to see if the jack-o-lantern would respawn and so I did. When the world loaded the jack-o-lantern was not there, and I ran off to make a house. After a week or two I was merrily frolicking along in my newest mine and again found diamond. Quickly mining them I soon left my mine only to be greeted by the moon and a group of several angry zombies and skeletons. I tried to retreat deep into my mine but I wasn't fast enough and got an arrow forcibly shoved into my head.

And to the respawn again putting my longest record of life to bed and smothering it. I saw something glowing. Wondering what it was I moved closer and looked and was caught in the firey gaze of that jack-o-lantern. Thinking it was my brother trying to mess with my head, because I had not been to my spawn point in a while, I called him over from whatever he was doing and sarcastically told him how scared I was of the pumpkin. When he told me he didn't do it he didn't have any of the normal tells that he has when he lies. Well I mined the jack-o-lantern and put him on a monument with a sign saying "My Forever Fretful Friend" and moved on.

It soon became night which I tried to sleep through but I was woken up in the middle of the night. But not by the usual monstrous creature, but nothing at all. So I looked out my window and saw the monument and I saw something or someone with a pumpkin helmet and engulfed in flames but not like the usual Minecraft I'm on fire it burns' but with actual detail. The thing slowly looked up at me and then proceeded walked off towards my spawn point.

Then my character woke up like it was a dream or something. And I thought that Notch added some kind of secret dream type thing with the newest update. So I went over to my window and saw the jack-o-lantern was gone I rushed outside and looked and the sign now said "your forever fretful..." and I knew no one changed the sign because I was on single player no matter how much I didn't want to be. And so I walked back to my spawn point and there it was. My... forever... fretful... friend.
