Frankfurter Copypasta

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as a hotdog, is in fact, a sandwich, or as I've recently taken to calling it, a frankfurter sandwich. Hotdogs are not a stand-alone food, but rather another tasty component of a fully functioning sandwich as defined by the cube rule of food.

Many food enthusiasts consume a modified version of the sandwich every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of the sandwich which is widely used today is often called a hotdog, and many of its eaters are not aware that it is basically a sandwich, made up of bread and a frankfurter sausage.

There really is a hotdog, and people are eating it, but it is just a part of the sandwich they consume. The frankfurter is the filling: the food in the sandwich that provides the main flavor. The filling is an essential part of a sandwich, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete sandwich. Hotdogs are normally used in combination with the bread: the whole food is basically bread with frankfurter added, or a frankfurter sandwich. All the so-called hotdogs are really sandwiches!
