Frozen for the Future
Most of you who are reading this must of at least once in your life heard or seen from movies,commercials,TV shows and so on about freezing someone and unfreezing them in the future. People would think that you would be exactly how you were before you were freezed, you wouldn't haved aged a bit and you would still be you. Well have you heard of anybody trying that in real life? And not just a rumor or stupid internet videos? No? Okay, the story you are about to read might be real or made up by a someone who wants to be popular, we think it is the very first time anybody ever tried it. But that someone died years ago so no ones knows for sure about the case of Arnold Lawson.
Arnold was learning russian, he always loved visiting Russia with his grandma who owned a small house in Russia the bad thing is that Arnold didn't know how to speak Russian he felt lonely because of that. Some people would laugh when they ask something to Arnold in Russian language because Arnold says the wrong answer, his grandma always has to translate everything for him. So one day Arnold took a class, to speak Russian but sadly he failed misserably he couldn't stand it he ran back to his grandma he ran and ran. Since he wasn't looking up he bumped into someone, and that someone happened to be Markov.
"Oof! Uuuhhh, I am so sorry about that I didn't me-"
"It is okay, I wasn't looking up either." Said Markov.
"You know English?!" Said Arnold suprised.
"Yes, I find it helpful for my tours around America I like to study american history it is very interesting."
"Wow, well I don't know not one bit of Russian language......Do you think you can help me?"
"Well you ask like you are dying to learn. I have 5 months of free time before going back to my hometown, I will be glad to help you."
And so from there Arnold finally learned what he always wanted to learn, it only took 2 weeks to learn Russian language and it was worth it and fun. Markov showed him some of Russias greatest places and foods, Arnold starting thinking about Markov's life, he acted strange when they were around any type of scientist,guards, even the police.
"Markov you never got to tell me your last name? Can you tell me?" Said Arnold.
"Sorry, here we can't really tell our last names." Lied Markov.
"But everybody says there full names in my town and you are from my town, right?"
"No accually I am from another town, very strict, you only tell your full name to someone you know by heart." Said Markov.
3 months have passed by and Arnold started seeing Markov less and less he would sometimes even see him for only an hour. One day Arnold decided to search about Markov's life, he went to a libary where he found a book about the people of the town, the people who he knows nothing about and never heard anyone talk about. He searched, searched, and searched and found Markov and only Markov no last name and no middle name. He read but it wasn't the Markov he knew about. He couldn't stand it he had to find out about Markov's passed life, was he a criminal, a spy even a KGB? So it was decided he would spy on Markov when ever he saw him he would follow him, after spending a week preparing inside his grandmothers house he went out. And spotted Markov at midnight right when the sun was coming up, Markov went inside a library Arnold had never seen it looked so fancy and noticed it even had guards. He knew he wouldn't be allowed inside so he followed Markov right behind him and with his special talent he silenced his footsteps and tried not to breath to hard, when they were at the door he heard Markov say "Good day sir sunrise is coming and I have a mouse in my pocket." Arnold thought to himself "What the hell?Must be a password, yeah it is." So when Markov was not able to hear Arnold, Arnold said "Good day sir sunrise is just minutes aways and I need to get this mouse in my pocket somewhere warm and nice."
The guard stared at Arnold hard and finally laughed "You new people have a sense of humor with these passwords, go on ahead." Arnold entered and saw Markov climb a ladder leaning to a tall bookshelf wich was attached to the wall because Markov just pushed a brown book and opened a door! Arnold did the same when no one was looking, he closed the door and saw a light, it looked like a light from a candle he rushed to it so it won't fade and block his vision. As he got closer to it he heard noices of footsteps, heavy breathing, children laughing, groans, train whistles and men screaming. He got chills and when he was so close to the candle light he noticed he couldn't see anything that looked like someone holding the candle why it looked like it was floating. This is when he saw something, when the light turned to a corner he turned too but saw something, a child?a creature? It had no eyes for what i looked like and was very skinny with an ear cut off.
He turned to crawl back away as fast as he could since there was small space to stand but when he turned he faced a wall, just a wall blocking his way there was no wall behind him for sure he couldn't feel it. But it was there and that meant he had to follow the light. he fought his fear and went forward, it felt like 5 minutes passed by when he saw Markov. He was crawling and turned to a corner when Arnold turned to the corner he saw a hallway and Markov walking to the door at the end of the hallway. Markov entered and Arnold entered when he thought it was clear, he entered a room with blue lights and a oval table is what he saw. But he froze in fear when he spotted men sitting in the chairs they were discussing something and there was some sort of maching making loud noises wich must of been why they didn't hear him come in. He sneaked under a table where he couldn't be seen. They discussed.
"A nuclear weapon? For what to start a war to end humanity? No thanks but I think the uummmmm.....Illuminati?Is doing that already, you know the New World Order for 2012."
"Well......What about proving that a something or someone can live with there head cut off other than chickens."
Then Markov spoke.
"Sorry gentlemen I have to go study my expirement."
"That crappy thing about freezing a human and unfreezing him years later to see you can stop them from aging?" Said a men.
"Yes that crappy one YOU made me do."
"Okay, I apoligise next time I won't make a stupid expirement when I'm pissed on our slow progress."
It was an hour they discussed before Markov had to leave,Markov exited through another door, Arnold had to exit throught their too it looked very risky but he went for it he went very slowly throught the darkness and when he was right next to the door he froze and thought "If I open it they will for sure see it open". Arnold just got lucky because one of the men called for everybody to listen to one of his plans. Arnold got away with it and walked a hallway, walked very steep stairs and walked another hallway when he came to a door. He without thinking opened it and saw.......That back of the fancy libary he entered, he was so confused about how that was possible that he didn't even notcie Markov standing to his right with a shovel in hand. The next thing Arnold knew is he was tied up in a car, he saw no one was driving and there was a snowstorm outside. Markov opened the door and took Arnold out.
"Oh Arnold why you should of never followed me, curiousity can kill you sometimes. But I would of let you go and killed you if you ever told anyone about this but I really need to study this expirement."
Markov dragged Arnold to something that looked like a gas chamber but the inside had a rectangular box big enough for Arnold to fit in. It looked like it was made out of soundproof glass. Arnold was untied as soon as he was trapped inside the glass, he looked up and saw 2 holes, he heard Markov say "One hole is for water to come out the other is for, well a very cold gas I should say.
"NO!! Please don't! Kill me If I tell anyone about the secret discussion but don't freeze me to death! PLEASE! I beg with everything I can!"
To his suprise Markov heard him. "Looks like it is too late for that."
Water was already rising to Arnolds knees, and once it reached the top of his leg the gas started coming and freezing Arnold. His head felt like it was close to frostbite, the water was up to his chest and he was crying, crying like a baby, and he close his eye and would never open them again because from there the water reached the top of the box and it was frozen solid. Like a big ice cube.
Markov was never found. Arnolds frozen body was neither found but like people who die slowly and painfully they are spotted alive, in 1990 a couple driving on a snowy road spotted a man frozen in action, he looked like he was traped inside a box his arms were crossed in a way like when you are cold. In 2004 a homeless men walking behind some buildings spotted a men dragging a rectangular shaped ice cube the size of him, he said the men dragged the ice cube to a car and tied it on top of it and drove off. Is this real? Well in 2006 something was found in a mountain cave it was a men inside an ice cube he had glasses, a brown sweater, and pants. The man's identity is not knowed because when it was being loaded into a truck the truck went out of control and crashed sending the ice cube sliding the mountain and covered by snow. Is this Arnold's body?Was it cursed? I don't know but I have nightmares about it everyday in my little shack. I always stare at that mountain Arnold could be in and I feel so guilty about doing that to a inicent american. I plan to hang my self everyday but never can because I always see Arnold looking at me through the window his face pale as a ghost with icicles in his hair and torned clothes. And he says the same thing to me everyday.
"Markov, can I borrow a sweater? It is cold out here."
